Really tempted to go pre-order this. But I don't wanna fall into the trap that was Grand Theft Auto 4. Gonna need more details or a demo to convince me otherwise.

Jeez, I just remembered I had to get my dad to pick up GTA4 for me since I was in Montreal. That seems ages ago now, 4.5 years I think.

I'll buy it, dunno if I'll pre-order depends on what they offer. If they want early sales, or even to smash records, then they need to tempt everyone! lol.

GTA4, I just couldn't get into the character enough. Great game, but Nothing on the storyline / character as Vice City / San Andreas.

I thought Niko and the story was a bit lacking in comparison but after playing through a second time I got a deeper appreciation of it.

Never even got halfway through San Andreas, because CJ and most of the characters were just boring to me.

Cast of GTA IV is much more endearing, and fun to play with, imo.

I'm not a west coast rapper at all, or even into that scene, but it's the whole package of SA that I liked. The characters are good, didn't expect some twists either. The music, setting.. area and date. They all seemed more believable. I just can't care for Niko and those cronies of his. I never did play any DLC's btw.

Also, side note, the Red Dead Redemption storyline I really got into, so dunno if it's just me or not or that shows some influence in anything.

Yep. Never finished III or Vice City either.

Had plenty of fun just screwing around in the PS2 titles, but IV was the only one that made me care about the story.

-Vehicle physics have been updated. "The cars hold to the ground a bit better". It now feels more like a racing game, compared to GTA IV where they felt "big and boatlike".

-After a hiatus in GTAIV, Ammu-Nation is back!

-A lot of new side activities, including yoga, jet sking, base-jumping, tennis and golfing on a full golf course!

-Rockstar felt that dating wouldn't fit in this game and have stripped this feature.

-Bowling, Strip Clubs, Live comedy, Internet cafes and in-game TV make a return.

-Mobile phone will return, but friends won't be calling as often as they did in GTAIV. It will be more streamlined and used for things like emails and Internet browsing.

-Random character encounters throughout the map, much akin to those in GTAIV - but this time there's a greater variety and they're fully motion captured.

-Dynamic missions, similar to Red Dead's "Random World Events" make a return. Examples include characters with broken down cars, a hitch hiker, or two parked cars with dead bodies around them - which you can investigate to initiate dynamic missions.

-Dynamic "state machines" were coded in the game, allowing non-playable characters to go about their daily lifes. For example, you may see gardeners and cleaners waiting at the bus stop in the morning, and then find them tending the gardens and houses in the game's fictional Beverly Hills later on in the day.

See. Now THAT is what you get when you pour money into the games industry. A legacy. It looks and sounds amazing. R* have taken gaming to a high fucking level for years.

Just hope I enjoy it... really enjoy it. I think I may skip Fifa 14 next year, this and any BF that is out will be my titles.

ON a side note, car does look like an R8 so much ,suprised they aint getting sued. lol.

Hope GTA's never get licences in a way. I like their cars, but for some I guess it's the icing on the cake. And more £££ shelled out, but If this profitorises... maybe... maybe.

Rockstar says GTA V won't have any celebrity voice actors mostly for a few reasons.

Besides costs, they don't think they can bring in enough celebrities willing to lend their voice for the game. The other reason was this time they want the entire player focus and hype being about the game itself and not because of the voice actors.

•GTA IV's mobile phone returns, but a lot of its features have been altered. You can use it to access the internet.

•Dynamic missions - hidden missions dotted around the game world. "Going off-road in the desert, you may come across two parked cars and a sea of dead bodies around them... Investigate if you want."
