At its most technical, Walking Dead is a point and click/quick time event/quasi-survival horror with branching paths.

I got the first episode free but never played it as it doesn't appeal to me.

Something less zombiefied and serious would be more my thing but the two examples I've seen of the genre have seemed very serious and dark.

It's not a shooting game. Those portions are more or less point and click from first person.

I have MadDog McCree and Dragons Lair on dvd. They came in a magazine I got years ago. They are literally just interactive movies. I think the modern equivalent is games like Ryse, Heavy Rain etc where you appear to be just getting pulled along a lot of pre-scripted events and press the right button when prompted. They may not be as devoid of gameplay as the laserdisc games I mentioned but they seem pretty close. I admit I've played neither Ryse nor Heavy Rain but from the gameplay I've seen and what I've heard about from those that have played them, the comparison seems accurate.

Walking Dead, I know has more to it.

I REALLY hope that pre-orders do not go this way. The industry starting to nickel and dime every tiny thing is putting a damper on my happy time

So with Crytek purchasing Free Radical back in 2009 and gaining the rights to the TimeSplitters series, I now hope that if Deep Silver purchases Crytek, they can also gain the rights to the TimeSplitters series, and finally TimeSplitters 4 can see the light of day.

I think DLC started off well, but kinda took a shitty turn when "on disc" content was being locked behind the DLC Paywall. I don't think it would play out as written above, but I don't believe it is too far fetched either. The industry as a whole is a multi-billion dollar industry and like everything else, some people/companies/whatever will try to exploit it for what they can.

Never thought that Netflix would be forced to pay more to an ISP to carry their content either, but yea.... fuck Comcast too. 10 years from now, high speed is going to be more expensive and will have "tiered apps" access much like their cable TV offerings do now.

When Comcast strangles companies to pony up for the "high speed lanes", the cost will come out of our ass. Netflix already raised its price in response. Internet will be cheaper, but it won't mean much when XBL and PSN become 90$ a year and Hulu is 20$ a month.

Yes, I know they have different speeds silly. I meant that they will decide which of those tiers gets access to specific apps such as Netflix, Hulu, etc. They already cornered Netflix earlier this year and said "Hey, you want us to keep offering bandwidth to stream your service to Netflix customers? Also, faith in Google fiber will need to be bundled with faith in your local city willing to lease Google space on their poles. Seeing as how AT&T and Comcast/Time Warner has a stranglehold on the majority of said poles, the Kansas City debacle is just the start of the difficulties they will face for national implementation. Even at that, they will be limited in their services because they are not licensed as a telecommunications provider. Their entire scope of that project will need to change before they can massively launch their fiber on a national level.

I realy liked the Steam style sale Xbox had last year with full games selling for insane prices like 75p and £1.50 etc. A game going for £8.99, like this current sale, isn't going to get my attention, even if it is 75% off.

I rather games not be that cheap. $6-7 is alright depending on the game. Sales like this would soon coincide with much higher DLC.

Tekken 7 was revealed to be currently in development during this year's EVO event. Originally IGN was meant to have the exclusive reveal but AOL leaked the debut video early.

Only known detail is the game will run using the Unreal 4 engine.
