Anybody else catch the season premiere? Looks to be off to a good start.

They're replaying it like 40,000 times on HBO2 and whatnot. Just check your channel guide if you'd rather watch it on a real TV.

I do feel that the girl catching her period and just casually being like "I think I just got my first period" may have been a little over the top, but I guess that's the nature of the show.
Loved the interaction between Leon and Marty. "You wore that ass out" "No, I don't wear out asses" |

Leon is easily my favorite non-Larry character on the show.
Leon: You lost us the fucking house Larry. I mean, I had sex with 2 girls in your bed. Larry: WHAT? Why would you have sex with 2 women in my bed? Leon: Well I'm not going to have sex with 2 women in a twin bed, Larry. |

lol amazing episode.
Loved when that lawyer came in and helped Larry at the buffet, really hope he comes a recurring character. What if Larry just had a lawyer come with him everywhere he went? That would be fucking gold. |

Social assassin.
Decent episode, but the worst of the season so far, I would say. They seemed to be stretching just a bit, especially with the reveal on the golf course and its aftermath. It all came essentially out of nowhere. |

Thought this was the best of the season honestly
Lots of little hilarious things throughout, like Larry challenging himself to a mirror's only back-up and his bit in the beginning about a girl wanting to exterminate you being a huge turn on. Loved it |

Great ep. Was dying when Marty came in and wound up hearing all the anti-Semetic sex.
Would definitely pick the Palestinian chick and her sister over the deli. |

Tried the other night for like the 4th time to "get into" this show and I still can't do it. I've gotten through maybe 6 and a half episodes of the first season in the aforementioned 4 attempts/sittings and I'm still pretty "meh" towards it yet people whose tastes I normally "agree with" (as well as quite a few that I don't) love it. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?

Yeah...I started getting the DVD series and I'm sorta regretting the decision to get season 1. Guess it'll be good to have the whole series eventually though.
Keep up with it. Once the show "hits its stride" its incredible. |

Honestly have never noticed any fluctuation in the quality of any of the seasons. Season 1 is just as good as any other season "iirc." Dunno what yall are talkin about

Perhaps. I really need to watch it again.
For when I watched it originally I was too busy going, "Ok, this is kinda like Seinfeld but with only one character". By the time I got over that I was probably somewhere in the second season. |

I'm trying to get into this show. I've been watching season 7 and it's just up and down. I HATE the way Larry David acts sometimes. Like when he was telling his two dates in the wheelchair who the other was. Just awful. Made me cringe. Other times he's "unnecessarily cocky" in the way he talks and I love it.
I did really like the episode where he kills the owner of the golf club's pet swan. Good times. Also, Funkhouser is awesome. Definitely my favorite character on the show. I don't know though. Just when I think I'm getting into it, I see an episode or two that just bring me back down to earth with it. I didn't even care much for the Seinfeld table read episode with the exception of Funkhouser telling Jerry the joke. |

I feel like this is honestly the best season of curb yet. It seems like Larry David's character is "embracing" his social quirks and using it for his amusement, rather than mindlessly getting caught up in arguments/controversy.
He's also a way better comedic actor than he was when the show started. |
