They've confirmed DLC and GTAO will constantly be expanding so it could just straight out kill the idea of playing anything else.

-Destructible environments have been upped in this game which means that you can use them to your advantage in missions; you can use: gas cylinders, motor cars, fuel tanks and more.
-The framerate is consistent and there seems to be no stuttering when switching between characters to complete a mission. -Players can have a shooting scope of 360 degrees so that they can strategically decide what they need to do. -You can adjust the power, rate of fire and gauge levels of the weapons. -AI constantly changes their position to get a better shot at you. -You can turn a car's engine on and off. -For racing, Rockstar has relied on Midnight Club: Los Angeles's gameplay mechanics for the driving in V. -Police will chase after you if you decide to go into water. |

This is kind of trivial given all the info dumps, but has there been any info on picking the style of mask used in a robbery? I want to go as batshit as possible.

It was said months back in a preview you buy the masks needed for a mission. So you could pick the one you want.

Yeah, I knew what you meant anyway. Still, in the context....
I couldn't remember if they'd addressed it. |

I got a lot of points stored away with my power up rewards membership. I'm gonna put 'em all into that car and hope for the best.

I've kept away from reading a lot of info about this game, fully expecting to be blown away when it comes out.

I'm confident you will be.
The collectors edition is supposed to be £150-ish. I thought I was doing well, getting it for £100. Now I've got it down to £95. Not bad for everything including the DLC blimp. |

I've not seen evidence, yet, but, according to someone in the comments on R*s site, we can get high online.
If that's true, no idea what that would do, gameplaywise. It could be possible because there are medical marijuana stores in the game, the GTA V site talks about medical marijuana and there is at least one character in single player who uses medical marijuana. -Masks, glasses and such can be equiped from an inventory menu.
-You will have mission playlists if you choose to enter them - or you can just jump into Free Roam mode. -There will be everything from 2-player missions on up to full-blown 16-player quests. -Several tennis courts dot Los Santos, while the city contains one 18-hole golf course. -The golf mini-game can accomodate [up to] a foursome. -There are movies to watch at theaters, and in Online up to 16 players can pack a theater. -You will be able to deposit your money through ATM, in addition to using Debit cards. -You can take a shower at your apartment. -There is a "Make It Rain" button to use at the strip club. -You will also be able to touch the girls during private dances, but if you get caught three times you will be tossed out on the street. Possibley more info to come. |

Note the pick up truck in the last screenshot has players sitting and standing in the back and shooting. Couldn't do that in IV.

Races aren't always the standard "everyone on the starting grid, 3-2-1-GO!" races. You can stick a pin in the map, invite other places to race to it and race across the map from whereever you all happen to be, against the clock.
The actions of other players will have an effect on the race. For example, if you are racing from A to B and have to drive through Neighbourhood C and other players are having a 4 star shoot out with the police, you'll have to race through the carnage the other player is causing. I'm assuming that you'll attract police attention if you hit anyone or fire your gun as you race through that scenario. As has been said before, you can use your cell phone to call in an air strike against other racers. Likely going to cost you a ton of money, though. |

Flying a plane or helicoptor isn't a one player thing. You can have another player act as co pilot and mark targets etc.
Planes etc will be effected by turbulance. Your entire crew can pile into a plane, if it's big enough. |

Online missions can be voted for by the crew through a playlist. So if 10 of us are playing online and 6 of us want Mission A and 4 of us want Mission B, we'll get Mission A. R* will be adding more and more missions as time goes on and any mission that seem extremely unpopular with players can be removed from the game entirely.
As for money, we have an online bank account. Any money in there is safe. Your money wont automatically go into it, though. Instead, you'll have it in your wallet and have to deposit it at the bank. If you are killed with it in your wallet, anyone can take it from your dead body. Luckily, you'll have a debit card that you can use in places like Ammunation. You can also do your banking from you ingame phone. |

So can you interfere in heists? Kill the guy with the loot and snatch it for yourself?

Yeah. If you are robbing a place with another player, the player who actually picks up the money can split it between everyone involved however he or she likes. 50/50 60/40 etc or keep it for themselves. You could kill them and keep it for yourself.
They mentioned that when they also said you could hire a hitman to take someone out if you didn't want to do it yourself. I have thought it would be fun for a member of our crew to take part in another crews heist, only for them to turn on that crew as planned with the rest of us showing up to help and bag the cash for TPWW. |

I mean more like in RDR, you might be joining a session that's already posse'd up and you can see what they're doing while dodging away yourself, could I hypothetically join a game where a crew is already mid heist and steal it away from the bag man?

I'd imagine you could. Anyone can get involved in anything other players are doing at anytime because it all takes place in the same map. They don't get warped to a specific "level" with no one else around like in some games.
I'd not call it a stretch to say you could very likely see a crew rob a bank, gun down the bag man and take it for yourself. The one thing R* have confirmed you wont be able to interfer with is with players playing tennis and maybe golf. |

If you plan on doing that kind of thing, you'll need a crew to back you up. I can't imagine other crews will let it slide when they spend 15 minutes clawing and shooting away at police and bank security only for you to take the cash.

They have said they'll be keeping an eye out for trouble makers and you'll get something like an "Undesirable" tag if you constantly bully other players.
I'd say what you want to do is within the spirit of the game. As long as you don't just hassle one player or one crew endlessly for an hour, I think you'd be fine. Although, if it's a crew of 7 people and you screw them over, I can already hear/see XxSnipahmanxX [Bros_Bfo_Hoes] wants to kick whiteyford Your_Mom95 [Bros_Bfo_Hoes] wants to kick whiteyford Sludgefiller [Bros_Bfo_Hoes] wants to kick whiteyford CODGod91 [Bros_Bfo_Hoes] wants to kick whiteyford W33DF4N [Bros_Bfo_Hoes] wants to kick whiteyford Da_Bulge [Bros_Bfo_Hoes] wants to kick whiteyford GTAFAN4LYF_YO [Bros_Bfo_Hoes] wants to kick whiteyford |

True. The secret is to get the money into your bank account ASAP, then they can't touch it, no matter how much they endlessly gun you down because you dared to do something in the spirit of the game that wasn't 100% for their enjoyment.
When it comes to GTAO, I really really like the idea of planning things out and the thought of luring players into traps or screwing them over. Not going to luring my crew into traps or screw them over, obviously. Talking about other players. |

The police search circle each cop has is like the cones of vision the enemies in Metal Gear Solid have. If you are hiding behind a wall, the cop wont see you.

I understand that there's a tremendous amount of choice and opportunity with this game, some of which is a greiver's dream come true. This makes it even more important to play with buddies, similar to how going alone in RDR may be hell in a room full of groups. I think we'll all posse up once again to have strength in numbers as we did in RDR. Having said that...
If any you double cross me, screw me out of my cut or outright rob me during or after a job, if any of you decide it's funny to bust up my personal car or gun me down for an annoying respawn probably 3 miles away like the last games, if you fuck with me in any way: Know that I probably won't touch campaign mode in any way. I will always be online. I will find you. I will look at your stats, see if you got a hot new car or house. See what your favorite modes are, where you spend most of your time in the game world. I will make your GTAV life my personal hobby. Then I will destroy it. Everything you love, every revenue stream, every little diversion you enjoy - you will have to check the lobby list. Check your map. Look around corners. I will be there. Every time you boot up you will have to ask; "Is this Kalyx triaD day?" Don't take my paraphrased speech from Ransom as a joke; I'm serious. You will have to ban me from joining your rooms. I will try to amass lots of things for the crew as well as myself. If you interfere with that I will pre-order "Screw Up His Life" with all the monopoly money I have, and strain myself deciding what to do to you first. Other than that we're going to have a lot of fun. |
