Your Hype Level and Ranking of Mania 34's Matches
Figured this would be a good way to gauge TPWW Universe's overall interest in Mania 34 and which matches have the most and least interest this close to the event itself.
Simply rank your interest in Mania 34's matches going from most interested in watching to least. This year's card has 13 matches plus the potential unannounced Cena-Undertaker match. Pre-show:
Main card:
Unannounced:
For those interested, you can also rank your interest for the card of Saturday's NXT TakeOver event. |

I'd probably put the whole NXT card except the women's match above everything but Styles/Nakamura from Mania.

Would've said 5 if we were guaranteed NOT to get Taker/Cena ( 😴😴😴 ) or a non-physical confrontation leading to another year-long build for a Cena WM match to WM 35.
I remain steadfast in saying 'Taker should never wrestle again ever. It was a fun nearly 26 1/2 years, but his career needs to be allowed to rest in peace. |

In fairness, this card looks fucking stellar on paper, and if they give it the proper care and booking, this could go down as one of the best Wrestlemania's ever. I would give it 5, but other than the card, the WWE product itself is still pretty naff and hard to sit through, so some of the matches I've no idea of the story going into them, only that the match itself has the potential to steal the show. |

I watch the WWE like 3-4 times a year so I have no idea what's going on. I'll probably just Tivo it and skip all the stuff I don't want to watch.

I'm not really interested in WrestleMania this year, but I'll still watch it because it's WrestleMania after all.
I'm just not "feeling it" this year. I'm probably the least excited I've ever been for WrestleMania. Most of the matches don't really interest me and personally, I feel the way in which the matches have came around and even the build-up has been pretty bad and in some cases, lazy. André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal I've always been a fan of Battle Royals, so obviously I'm looking forward to this, but I just wish the match would actually lead to something noteworthy for the winner. WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal There's not much to say about this one other than it's going to be on a much smaller scale than the Men's Battle Royal, obviously but I'll also add that I think the trophy for this Battle Royal is insanely ugly. Alexander/Ali I've never really been interested in the Cruiserweight Divsion but usually I would watch a Cruiserweight Championship match at a PPV because of who's involved but neither Alexander or Ali interest me at all. Especially Cedric Alexander. I don't know who I find more dull, boring and devoid of charisma, Alexander or Corbin. Lesnar/Reigns Again, I have no interest in this as I know Reigns is going to win. The build-up has been a bit boring and all it's done for me is show me how bad Reigns can be when he tries to "be real" with his promos. Styles/Nakamura No real interest in this one either but it's mostly because of Nakamura, as I just don't "get him". I'm sure the match will be a good one though. Miz/Rollins/Bálor I like Miz, so I'll be watching. I'm cool with Rollins, as he has his moments but I've never really been keen on Bálor, but I am looking forward to this match anyway. Orton/Roode/Mahal/Rusev I'll be watching this one as I like three out of the four guys involved but the way this match has came about is pretty lame but it's still the match I'm looking forward to the most. Remember, this match is happening because of a Top 10 List. Bliss/Jax I've actually been wanting to see this match for a while and I actually hope Jax wins. The build-up has been a bit lazy though and at times, not making much sense. Flair/Asuka This should be a good one but a big selling point of this match is Asuka's streak. I'll admit that I'll mostly be watching this to see if Vince is crazy enough to have Flair break Asuka's streak at WrestleMania of all places. A part of me thinks she will, as Asuka being champion means that she'll be champion for quite some time until someone "worthy enough" comes along to win it from her and break the streak and I don't think that person will appear for quite some time. On the other hand, Vince is crazy and Triple H appears to jizz over Sasha Banks (I don't mean that literally. Ew), so Sasha Banks will probably win the title from Asuka and break the streak at SummerSlam or something stupid like that. WWE Raw Tag Team Championship - Cesaro and Sheamus (c) vs. Braun Strowman and TBD I may be the only one but I feel that since Elimination Chamber, Strowman has been slowly making his way towards dancing and "just having fun", like the majority of what big imposing guys end up like in WWE. His musical stuff with Elias, his innuendos with Bliss and his "Brains Strowman" stuff this week is just slowly turning me off of him. I don't really have much interest in this match either as I get the feeling Strowman's partner will be either Big Show or Big Cass. Usos/New Day/Bludgeon Brothers I'd be really into this match if New Day wasn't involved, as I just find them to be really annoying now and they should have disbanded a hell of a long time ago. Their schtick is old and worn out now and it's just the same over and over again but with diffirent things that can be seen as "random" and "crazy", they started with a trombone, because that was random and crazy, then they moved on to unicorns, then cereal, then ice cream and now pancakes. I'm actually starting to miss Kofi on his own and being trapped between mid-card titles. Those were the days. Angle & Rousey/HHH & Stephanie I have zero interest in this match. Everything about it has just screamed lazy to me. This match came about because for no reason, Angle decided to blab and let Rousey know what Triple H & Stephanie said about her. He then did it again. Why, from a Kayfabe point of view, would Angle, the GM of Raw, say those things and risk losing a big name like Rousey being on his roster? I can't help but think there were so many better ways to have this match come about, but Vince & Co. just chose the easiest and quickest way. Bryan & Shane/Owens & Zayn I really wasn't looking forward to this match until Bryan was added. I've had more than enough Owens & Zayn and I just wish they would both just go away. Forever. Cena/Undertaker? If this does happen, it'll be a nice surprise. But only in the sense of hearing the gong when you're least expecting it. That's if they do go down that route. If they have Cena in the ring begging and pleading one final time, then nah, the surprise is gone and we'll all know the gong is going to happen. I'm kind of interested in this match, but I really don't think it'll be a long one as Undertaker can't really walks four steps without being exhausted these days. So overall, I'm not really excited for WrestleMania this year but I will watch it and ranking the matches when it comes to my interest in them would be: 1) United States Championship - Randy Orton (c) vs. Bobby Roode vs. Jinder Mahal vs. Rusev 2) Intercontinental Championship - The Miz (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Bálor 3) Raw Women's Championship - Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Nia Jax 4) SmackDown Women's Championship - Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Asuka 5) André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal 6) Cena vs Taker? 7) Smackdown Tag Team Championship - The Usos (Jey and Jimmy Uso) (c) vs. The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston, and/or Xavier Woods) vs. The Bludgeon Brothers (Harper and Rowan) 8) WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal 9) WWE Raw Tag Team Championship - Cesaro and Sheamus (c) vs. Braun Strowman and TBD 10) WWE Championship - AJ Styles (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura 11) Cruiserweight Championship - Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali 12) Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn 13) Universal Championship - Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns 14) Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey vs. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon |

It's a bizarre feeling. I've not cared about Mania for a few years now, but there is "on paper" quality here. And Bryan is back, so that's got my emotional investment, to the degree he's still part of a bland WWE. I'd say it goes:
1. AJ vs. Nakamura 2. SmackDown Tag Titles 3. Daniel Bryan returns 4. Brock vs. Roman 5. How will Ronda do? 6. Cesaro Fuck everything else, haha. |

Finally gave it some though and came to the conclusion of being way more interested in Smackdown's stuff than RAW's stuff for this year's Mania. Considering Smackdown's build didn't really start becoming good until a few weeks ago, a bad sign of how much RAW fell in Mania build quality since their last PPV.
If it was up to me, the last 3 matches would have been the actual pre-show for this year.

I agree with everything Cool King wrote, almost to the letter. I think it will be Mysterio partnering Braun. I also think it's sad about his placement in the card and how he is slowly moving towards comedy. It sucks, cause I really feel he should be in Reigns spot and him and Lesnar should be fighting for the first time. Makes me really resent Reigns that he hasn't really improved in 4 years of a solid push and is still ruining things at the top of the card. He is not good enough for where he is. Lesnar is a legend for me, and Reigns ending him, as well as Taker is laughable. He just isn't that calibre and doesn't deserve what's being gifted to him.
I haven't watched very much, just YouTube clips for the last year, but feel like Mania always has surprises and big moments and is always entertaining. Matches like the IC match are being overlooked, but should be great, and honestly think Asuka and Charlotte will be amazing. Love both of them, especially Asuka. Probably my favourite on the roster right now. I was always a Triple H fan, but wish he would just go away now. The fact that the Rousey affair and Lesnar/Reigns are two of the biggest events of the night is a real downer, but hoping IC/US and other undercard matches can make it fun and interesting. Saving grace would be (finally), some sort of effort and big angle. Reigns aligning with Heyman, Usos and a returning Joe to take control of Raw as a heel stable. That would be awesome, but it feels like nothing cool has happened since Nexus to me. I would prefer bad, shocking angles to nothing at all. |

Reigns is much better than Braun Strowman. People are rejecting the push, and that's the nature of the beast they have created for themselves. The match itself will be tremendous however, which is more than what could be said for Brock/Braun matches. I think Braun's actually in a really good spot for what he is. Cesaro and Sheamus will do their best to make him look great. Personally, I'd have put him in the Battle Royal if they're going to do it.
I'm interesting in seeing Kurt Angle and Triple H interact, in that I'm not interested at all. It's amazing how little excitement I have for Angle wrestling. He hasn't exactly wowed, but I imagine he's been healing up/medicating himself for this thing, but the Triple H dynamic just isn't there. |

Don't agree with that at all. I think people are rejecting him because he has no personality, stupid attire, and continues to be a cookie cutter left over from the Shield. If he was talented enough or intriguing enough , he would win people over. He is way off the talent level of top guys in the business and is being rejected because his accolades are undeserved.
Goldberg/Lesnar wasn't great as a match but it was ten times more awesome than anything Reigns has done with anyone at Mania. That's because Goldberg is a genuine star and people cared. Strowman has been over all year, and they should have seized on that to make a somewhat intriguing match up at their biggest show. The likes of him, Rusev and Elias are getting themselves over and look at where they are on the card. Instead we are being treated to Roman Reigns shitting on the top of the card again, for the fourth year running, and he is still as undeserving as ever. |

Damn, I never thought of Mysterio. That's a good one.
I would say he's more likely than Cass, definitely, but when it comes to The Big Show, I don't know. Mysterio would obviously be better than Big Show, but given what we've all learned from history, it's most likely going to be Big Show, I think. Vince's thinking is probably "Braun is big, Big Show is big, they're now a team as they're both big and everyone always enjoys Big Show suddenly showing up to beat up bad guys". If it's Big Show, we have Vince to thank. If it's Mysterio, we have Triple H to thank. |

I love Rusev, and Elias has got something, but come on -- to get pushed over Reigns at this point? Braun is not the act people think he is. From what I've seen, how over he is is vastly overrated. He's also got a stupid look and is still very green in the ring and fucks up a lot. He's fooled the internet because he squashes people. Reigns is definitely way ahead of Braun and Elias, and is a much more dynamic performer at this point in his career. I think the push is asinine and frustrating too. I don't know how Vince expected it to "work" in any sense that it didn't three years ago. It will just be one of those John Cena type things where he is the square peg in the round hole for ten years until he is finally respected and it clicks on people how good he is. |

I want Brock to remove the vest tonight, and fuck it, rip his trousers off too, so that he finishes the match in standard wrestling gear (might as well finish off the “Stone Cold” Roman Reigns deal and go with black trunks/boots/pads), win with this new aesthetic and then adopt it full time.

There are plenty of guys that are better than him in the ring and he is nowhere near as talented as Cena is. Not even close personality and charisma wise. Cenas talent eventually won people over, I don't think Reigns has the tools. |

It's good matches, but it's also attitude and whether or not you fit the company philosophy. Reigns is their chosen guy. I'm not overly thrilled with the push either, but I completely understand it and why Braun is fucking around with kids. To be perfectly honest, I think there is a major charisma problem with most of the roster, and I can't really think of too many people who trump Reigns in any sort of embarrassing way, other than the usual suspects -- Cena, Joe, AJ, Orton, Jeff Hardy, etc. Reigns' mic work sucks a lot more than Cena's ever did, but Cena was also given more embarrassing things. Reigns -- when he's being smug -- is fine. It's whatever. He's fine in the role. They want an exotic-looking jacked dude with glorious hair that they built from scratch. They're in for a penny, in for a pound. |
