Never really liked sting after WCW, but I did love him in WCW so sting.

Love Matt Hardy, but he is nowhere near Stings level in terms of star power and legacy.
Nobody is hyping a 56 year old Hardy against anyone at Mania. |

Sting, but in all fairness Matt Hardy has really done a great job over the years of constantly reinventing himself and keeping himself over. From being part of the Hardy's, to Matt Hardy Version 1.0, to his more serious stuff with Edge and then this whole Broken Matt thing, the guy is a solid worker, who has always been dwarfed by his brothers ability to jump off high things.
Sting is one of my all-time favourites though. It's gonna take more than Matt Hardy to beat him. |

Sting. Two of my favorites really as a kid. Watched more WCW as a kid so Sting was it. Once I started watching WWE though the Hardy Boys were my favorites but I was a bigger Jeff fan than Matt. Recently though that has flipped for me and Matt is now my favorite Hardy. Still can't touch Sting though.

Should be closer. I'm not voting Matt Hardy because of Broken Matt Hardy, but because I'd rather see 2000's crazy TLC match having Hardy Boyz, which Matt is very underrated in. The innovation from No Mercy 1999, WrestleMania 2000, SummerSlam 2000, and WrestleMania X-Seven is better than anything Sting ever did.

Voted for Hardy. Sting is so overrated. Plus he's friends with Lex Luger, worst person in history.

Sting. It would be unanimous if not for Broken Brilliance. Look at the people voting for Broken.

Sting has this in a landslide. Love Hardy to death and he has single handedly made himself relevant again. He just isn't at that legendary status as Sting.

I was thinking about it and I like Hardy for a longer period than I did Sting amazingly. Sure, I loved Sting kicking the nWo's ass, that weird WCW 2000 heel turn and Joker Sting, but V1, ROH heel and #BROKEN have had longer moments. Hell, I probably marked out harder for Matt beating up Edge out of the crowd harder than I did the Hardys WM33 turn, even if they angle did fall flat after that promo.

While I've enjoyed Hardy and the Broken character was a good reinvention, Stinger is deservedly a legend and has a geat body of work. I went with the Stinger.

Would have to give it to either Sting vs. Ric Flair at Clash of the Champions 1 1988 or Sting vs. Big Van Vader from Starrcade 1992

Sting.
Was the better overall package and in more areas than Matt. Outside of the Broken gimmick, majority of Matt's best work and moments were as a team with Jeff. |

I dont see why you cant compair a tag run to a singles run. I dunno. Ibe never understood why this is a thing. Like why do we need "better tag teams" and such... seems weird.

Well I mean Sting had several successful tag runs (at the to) on top of being a very memorable Main Event Singles competitor.
I'd rate Matt higher as a tag team talent, because the Hardyz revolutionized the tag division, but Sting's singles run made him a bigger star and was simply just better than Matt's tag run. (I don't count his TNA run) |

Figured usually saying "better overall package" or having different comparisons used per match would have been a giveaway by now. |

I'll always choose a great singles wrestler over a great tag wrestler. Like... Hogan is tops for me as a single wrestler and The Steiners (maybe the Road Warriors) are tops for me as tag wrestlers. They're definitely two different things. But Hogan will always win out over either Steiner or either Road Warrior by far. There's certainly a difference.

And in this case, I love the Hardys but Sting wins because it's way harder to be a success as one guy than half a team.
