Why not just do Europe as a whole instead of just the U.K. and Ireland?
Also, how's this gonna work? They gonna mingle with NXT U.S. talent on a weekly/monthly basis? Have their own PPVs? Be completely isolated/independent? |

HHH did recently say they plan to open NXT brands 'around the world' including another one in the U.S. on the West Coast at some point.
I think the creation of new NXT brands is the new way to kill the indies. Who knows though, maybe the show will be good? |

I think WWE is being ran by a runaway train named Old Man Vince. I think lots of terrible decisions are being made at the moment. And they are being enabled by money that keeps coming in for inexplicable reasons. |

Who cares. Another meaningless show where they will build up a bunch of stars that get turned into jobbers after getting called up, but with an accent. Big whoop

NXT Hollywood, NXT Japan are probably not far behind. Of NJPW continues growing in the US they'll move quick on a NXT Japan. Probably want something in Mexico and South America as well

Going to assume NXT UK will end up covering Europe since I can't see two separate NXT brands in the region doing well. Based on what I've read about their UK plans, its going to be more like 205 Live in the sense of how the brand stuff works.

Not sure why so many people are being dour on the idea of the UK brand. This has the potential to be incredible.
I was at last nights show, which was fantastic from start to finish. Except it was Ł6 for a pint because it's fucking London. SPOILER: show As for whether the brand is going to be successful, I think you have to vary what success looks like. This probably isn't going to get the numbers that NXT gets on the Network, but that isn't what this brand should be for. This should be about solidifying and increasing the companies prescence in the UK and Europe, not just pandering to an American audience again. International audiences have different tastes. It's embarrassing watching some of the jokes, OTT nationalism and celebrities I've never heard of because RAW and Smackdown are primarily aimed at the types of people who watch US Network TV. We're used to plenty of US TV here but some stuff doesn't always translate well. Creating a show which features UK talent, aimed at a UK audience has the potential to be very successful - in the UK. And our money is as good as anyone elses (....less true since June 2016). One thing which could take this to the next level is trying to get the show on mainstream UK TV. No idea if they would be allowed to do this under their contract with Sky but despite the money they get from Sky it still holds the company back in terms of the number of people they reach. Will probably just be a network exclusive but no reason they couldn't put it on the Network in the US and on mainstream TV here. The other thing that counts in this brands favour is how good a show could be. Some of the UK talent on display last night, they ones they haven't actually debuted last night and the talent which exists which isn't aligned to the WWE is just incredible. UK crowds are hot crowds as well, typically starved of opportunities to watch wrestling. Produce a show which features talented wrestlers in front of a hot crowd and there is every chance this is going to be very damned good. |

If you feel that it's too much then it's not for you, it shouldn't affect you in any way. This is great news for UK fans and people who want something different. Soon WWE will have two promotions you can watch instead of Raw and Smackdown if you don't want to.

I’m all for this if they’re looking to build another brand, capture the current momentum of the British scene, and genuinely be looking to use it to bring people through.
If however, this is just an attempt to kill the ITV project then, nah, shove it. |

Unless you're a completionist, read about wrestling, have to have it pumped into advertisements you are exposed to constantly. It's your opinion that there being more to follow shouldn't affect anyone. Whether it does or doesn't is up to that person.

So, there should only be RAW and Smackdown because too much choice is inconvenient for people? Choice means...Well....choosing. |

Watching the first night of the tournament now.
Doesn't look that full but ticket sales may have suffered due to the fact it was England's first world cup game that night. Second night was fuller than the first night looks right now. Nice to be able to see the screen this time because I couldn't see it from my fucking seats |

People spreading relentless undeserved hate runs rampant in the IWC. It's the same kind of thinking that allowed that douche bag "Fan" to insult Paige personally and "pie face" her. What in the fuck gives anyone the right to comment on her personal life or physical appearance or to deeply criticize her like that? |

I will check it out, there are guys on that roster worth going out of you way for. I think it's great more for UK fans to have something of "their own". We speak the same language but it is a different culture there.

People can watch and enjoy it if they want to. No one is saying that. They're just saying that a lot of people probably won't because there is just too much of this shit. And that's a reasonable observation. |

People keep saying it's "their own." Is it going to be? Didn't they schedule a show the same day as England's first game in the World Cup? It sounds like it's a WWE production to me. It'll be more like NXT, because Vince just won't have the time to run these things, so it will probably be "solid" by modern wrestling standards, but it's still WWE and it's still responding to a post-WWE-monopolized industry that is riddled with the same tropes and trends.
It'd be great if it were like World of Sport of an evolved version of that, but it's probably going to be guys coming out to music from CFO$ kicking out of each other's finishers and getting "You deserve it" chants when they all get a turn with the belt. If it's different, that'll be cool, but I just understand why people are weary. |

Its not a UK product theyre interesting in producing. Theyre interested in gobbling up UK talent. Make no mistake the purpose of this is to undercut would be promotions. The product is tertiary at best.

If you want to blame something wrestling-related for Paige getting assaulted, maybe take your aim at the market forces that led to a gentrified industry that at worst promotes violence against women, and at best treats them as tokens to be paraded out, and has chased away all but the most hardcore of fans.
If you want to draw a gay marriage analogy, it's more like a same-sex partner pledging a monogamous relationship to someone and then going around the countryside fucking whoever and whatever they can. They're both stretches, but get the fuck out with that direct comparison bull. |
