NCAA Football & Basketball Thread
Haven't seen a college football thread and don't know if a lot of people even watch it but if you do here's the place to talk about it. The season kicked off last night as Michigan lost to Utah in Harboughs return to the college game. #2TCU was winning last I saw against Minnesota.
My favorite team is the Louisville Cardinals, 2nd year in the ACC and they could drop off a bit from last year. Tell your favorite team and how you think they will do this season to get things going. Last edited by Simple Fan; 11-13-2015 at 12:33 PM. |

Damn, lost 24-31 if not for a botched handoff in the first half that got taken back for a TD might have been a different outcome. But Lamar Jackson is going to be a star.

Why they are college students? Did you get a salary in college? They go to school for free what more do they need?

They don't all go to school free. Nor are they given enough time to actually benefit from school. Big Ben graduated like 10 years after his college football days were over.

That's on him plenty of guys graduate early. Still don't see the point in paying them. If they did pay them they should make them pay tuition with partof their salery. That way it teaches them how to handle money before the get that big money.

The big money is an illusion to keep them from trying to unionize. Only a fraction of them will get anything like it.

They're not going to play for life and getting a degree is a lot of peoples goal in life. If someone wants to get a degree that's good for them, its not stupid.

Yea they make millions, and slot of them go through it quick taking care of family and friends. Also living extravagant lives and living in big houses and driving fancy cars. Its more of a NBA problem. A lot of kids get there degree in football because they have to stay 3 years before going pro.

UConn had the chance to kick a easy FG to go into OT and set up a potentially huge upset in Missouri. Instead they threw it away on a stupid fake FG attempt.
Like I get the whole "nobody expects us to win, so let's go for it now instead of OT" thing, but shit...just call a regular play then. Half of Missouri's defense dropped back as soon as the ball was snapped because they saw the fake coming. |

Pretty cool UK beat Missouri. Love going to UK games in my Louisville gear. Get so many people to react to the red its awesome. Got to see some old friends and one got too drunk and threw up before the game but was ok afterwards.
