Realistic GTA Online moment #2: Walked through the hot weather to my ingame flat and spent ages putting togethor a summery outfit. I step outside my flat, onto the street. Torrential downpour. REALISM!

So every single form of crime in a game about crime will give me the negative effects of the mental state meter?
If I wanted an open world game where I was a good little civilian, I'd play Animal Crossing. |

The mental state was built to warn players of what kind of gamer they were running into, as well as pair people of similar mental states together. The chaos was getting out of hand and it's nice to know how safe or dangerous a server is when I'm collecting cars or whatever.
It doesn't really effect much else and GTA is the same for everybody as a game. Who cares if your mental state rises a bit? What is wrong with being recognized for what you do? |

It makes it look like I am dangerous to other players when I'm not. I never attack players unless they attack me or they have a bounty on them.
If I continue to play and eventually get a red blip, I'll be more likely to get attacked by players near me who think I am dangerous and players will be less likely to co-operate with me. The mental state should only be effected when attacking a player without provocation because the players who do that are the dangerous ones. Defense, bounties, NPCs etc shouldn't make me look like a threat to the rest of the room. |

Btw, when playing online, check out Grove Street whenever you can. I found a fully "pimped out" Balla lowrider parked in the cul-de-sac. Stole it and sold it for, roughly, $12940. Excellent pay off for a randomly spawning vehicle. I'm unsure if it spawns more than once or if it's a one-off thing but I haven't seen it since.
Also, a lot of the time, one of the cars Simeon asks for in his texts is parked outside Michaels house, in my experience. |

Bounties are a feature of the game. It's a thing they put in to add spice. Gunning down players for no good reason is being a pain. Between a bounty hunting player and a bully player, who would you rather be notified of? The player that wont bother you unless you have a price on your head or the player who will bother you just for the "lolz"?

How is painting safe players as dangerous for non-griefing behaviour adding spice?
The concept of the mental state is good, it's just done badly. Simply have any action that doesn't ruin the game for another player be ok. If I gun down 100 NPCs in a row, that shouldn't make a difference. If I gun down a player, run to his respawn point and kill him again and repeatedly do that just for my own amusement or to annoy him, THAT should make a difference to the meter. |

One change I'd like to see is that for 1 hour a day, "cops are turned off" Would love to have a deathmatch without getting the cops attention.

Does anyone know why some hedges can be driven through and others can't? They look identical. I don't know if there is some visual clue I'm missing or if it's just random.

Seeing as how bounties are used as a kind of griefing, you being a bounty hunter is more less being a greifers hitman.

In my experience - not been on for a long time - bounties seem to be used as a form of vengeance against the bullies, rather than a tool used by them.

Apparently some guy modded the 360 version to be a first person game. Seems pretty sweet as a novelty but I'll stick with 3rd person.

The game has reset itself twice today, both while online. I'll be doing something, sudden blackness, R* logoscreen with the sirens etc. The game claimed it was the disc but the disc is fine. Thinking it might be the console.
It's also frozen twice while online. |

might be the drive, man. Mine has been having read errors lately. However, it could just be GTA Online tho too. I've been hearing about random issues with connectivity from alot of people.
Also, the last update corrected a cool car launch glitch. |

Supposedly details and info regarding the upcoming Heist missions were discovered within the recent "I'm Not A Hipster" update for GTA Online.

I had an inkling that Heist would be delayed until the next-gen versions went out. Guess it could come a tad earlier.

Temporary update to GTA Online. Until the middle of July, you can buy a bunch of American themed stuff such as clothing, a redneck mullet, a flag motorcycle and a USA styled monster truck.
They also added 2 new weapons. The musket and the firework rocket launcher. You can even buy fireworks of various styles and colours and setup a display by selected the firework from those you've bought and setting when it launches. So you could have a red one, white one and blue one side by side and choreograph them to launch one after another. Coolest news is this update introduces houses to buy, rather than apartmets. Only a few so far and you only have until the middle of this month to buy them. I'm actually tempted to use real money for the house and monster truck . I don't know if it's a glitch or a time sensitive thing but the only clothing I'm seeing is a sexy uncle sam outfit (because every woman likes dressing like a stripper, you guyz!*) and some kind of cute USA deely boppers. When looking at complete outfits to buy, there is one outfit with a red t-shirt with a love heart of the American flag that I can't buy separately. This happened with the hipster update, too, and new shirts appeared each day.
Anyone know if it's just me glitching or a time sensitive, slow release thing? *I say that because quite a few of my clothing options are sexy. I can select stockings and heels instead of trousers, I can wear a bustier or I can just go out in my selection of sexy lace panties. I think we're all set for sexy outfits, thanks, R*. Now, any chance of a bad ass outfit? |

It would be so cool if playing online on the 4th actually triggered a citywide automatic firework display at night.

The firework rocket launcher is a waste of money. Doesn't kill anyone or destroy cars. Best it does is set the car on fire. Even when you launch it into the sky, the exploding firework is underwhelming. The musket is pretty cool, though. The look, sound and feel of it gives a RDR feel. A Wild West DLC would be cool, actually.
Both weapons are automatically added to your story mode inventory, so you can try them out. |

I see R*'s angle now.
They release a limited time update, unannounced. Everything it adds is really expensive with the coolest thing (monster truck) being $700,000+. No way will most people have that kind of cash floating around. The fact this is limited time and unannounced means no one could have saved up in advance. The only way to get it? Pay real world money to R* for ingame money to buy the truck. Speaking of money, I'll never afford the truck, house and clothing so I'd need to buy ingame money. Then I saw I'd need to pay something like £13.75 and I'm not paying that for a truck and a blind faith "I hope it's a good place" purchase of an ingame house. For £11 I can Ultra Street Fighter IV, which I'm tempted to do. |
