Well Thrilla says he's improved a lot, so I'll give him a chance.

Thrilla also likes booker as a commentator. His credibility must come into question.

Coach is by far the best babyface color guy third wheel they've ever had. I don't know what that says about him.

Lashley cut a pretty good backstage interview at Raw. Sounded a lot more comfortable and organic.

I sometimes would go out of my way to check out Lashley in TNA. He had some great moments and matches so I look forward to this. I've always wanted to see Bobby/Brock.

Thought it would be a better show but the Raw after Mania has turned into NXT call ups and returns. No Way Jose needs to be nowhere near the main roster but they seem to have an obsession with having a superstar that carries a party around with him. I really wanted Jose to stay in NXT and turn heel, maybe even pair him with Almas. AoP at least makes sense and nothing really more to do in NXT. I watch Impact so Lashleys return isn't anything special but he adds to the roster. Kind wish they'd let him and Brock have a MMA fight, alot of interesting matchups for him though.

KO vs Sami was a good match. What if they go back to NXT and join the Undisputed Era?

The Raw mid/upper card picture seems quite ridiculous really. You have Reigns, Joe, Rollins, Balor, Miz, Jeff, Lashley, Braun, and Elias. Plus Owens and Zayn will likely keep milling about Raw during their unemployment storyline, and Ambrose is due back in the summer.
I'm sure two or three of those guys will go to SmackDown next week, but it's not like Raw won't be getting anyone in return. I dread the prospect of Rusev being sent back to Raw and barely being used. Selfishly I'd rather they send Orton and/or Ziggler over since I really couldn't care less if they get lost in the shuffle or disappear from television for months at a time. |

Dream commentating team is macho man and booker. Neither came across like they spoke English as a first language behind the desk yet both were unintentionally hilarious.

Then AOP debut sans Ellering but at least you have the explanation for why Ellering is no longer around them. |

One thing I feel is really important to the success of AoP is in a key comparison. It is and at the same time it isn't to the Road Warriors.
I feel like NXT's Developmental learned from the mistakes of the Ascension. You get two outlandish looking characters and put them together, you're going to get compared to Hawk and Animal. Doubly so if they're large. Someone told the Ascension to distance themselves from that comparison and it caused them to get buried hard. Here, I get the vibe that the folks at Developmental embraced the comparison. I feel like the meeting that put the Authors together involved someone saying "These two guys are massive brick walls of human beings. People are going to compare them to the Road Warriors." And the reaction was "You know what? GOOD! Can we get Paul Ellering on the line?" But that's just my opinion of them. |

Ellering should now manage War Machine.
Then when they get called up after WM35, they dump him. Then he finds two more big blokes in NXT. And it never ends. |

WM26: Sheamus loses to HHH WM27: Bryan gets bumped off the show, Del Rio loses to Edge, Wade Barrett after main eventing a ton of PPVs the year prior sees his team lose a 90 second tag match WM28: Bryan loses to Sheamus instantly WM29: Ryback loses to Henry, hell even Lesnar lost in his first Mania in nearly a decade WM30: Wyatt loses to Cena WM31: Sting loses to Triple H, Rusev loses to Cena, all three members of The Shield lose their first non-Shield matches (although Rollins does cash in at the end) WM32: Styles loses to Jericho, Zack Ryder wins the IC Title in a ladder match that involves a bunch of Mania rookies WM34: Asuka loses to Charlotte, Nakamura loses to Styles It really does seem to be deliberate. Feels like Fandango is the only exception. |

Oooh... (serious answer time) or Ascension! Play it straight, too. Have him be the man who gets them back to the prominence they had in NXT and they end up being the team to step up to AoP. |

The Ascension have been booked like total geeks in the 3+ years they've been on the main roster and both dudes are closing in on 40 years old. Pushing them would be a fruitless endeavor.

They also put the ECW Originals over the New Breed at...23, I want to say? It was the first match of many of the old guys, but it felt like they were going with the new guys paying dues. On the flip side, they had Cole beat King too, because you can't have a wrestler going notably undefeated at WrestleMania. |

I've got no clue how Konnor still has a job, even after walking away with his wife after they just agreed to give her a push. He's got to know something.

They've been on the main roster for three fucking years at this point, and have been a part of four video games. Hell of a career for dudes who have done nothing.

For some reason, TPWW died yesterday as I was in the midding of posting in this thread so my post never saw the light of day yesterday.
My post was long as it was after WrestleMania, but to cut to the chase: • We all knew it was happening but this Austin/McMahon angle meets Rule 63 of the Internet could actually be entertaining. Rousey appears to have settled in to WWE life now, which is good. Before, she seemed a bit shy and uneasy at first to me but I think she'll be ok, especially once she gets more experience on the mic. • I hate it when Cole & Crew do the whole "This isn't a traditional crowd" spiel. • It's Ember Moon! AKA: Someone I'm not familiar with because I don't watch NXT! That's a recurring theme for me for this Raw. She seems alright, although wasn't she a heel in NXT? Cool finisher though. We really don't have enough "top rope attack on a standing opponent" finishing moves. • I knew Strowman & Nicholas wouldn't be champions for some reason by the end of Raw. It just leaves me wondering, what was the point in it all? Good promo by the kid though. Not even twenty-four hours after his debut, he's cutting promos of a quality that Reigns can only dream of. • Two seconds into No Way Jose appearing on my screen and I already hate him. He's essentially just a black Adam Rose and I absolutely hated Adam Rose's gimmick. • As much as I enjoy Miz and the Intercontinental Championship, I really would like to see him go to SmackDown and be in the WWE Championship picture and even winning it. Jeff Hardy being back is cool and I'm glad he's not involved in Matt's shit he has going on. • I don't understand why Paige got a sendoff like she was a legend. Apart from being a contractual thorn in the WWE's side when she went crazy and caused a lot of bother for the WWE with her dealings with Del Rio, arrests and porn, she's done pretty much fuck all during her time with WWE. She twice won a patronising championship no one liked or cared about and she was the first winner of a championship in a developmental brand. Oh, and she shouted "this is my house" about twenty times every time she stepped in a ring. There are jobbers with better WWE careers than that. • I really wasn't expecting Bobby Lashley to show up and I don't mean to Raw that night. I mean to WWE. I don't read dirtsheets or anything so I didn't know talks were happening or if he was spotted around arenas or what, so his appearance was a genuine surprise to me. It's a shame he didn't return with his old theme though. That theme was bitchin'. The new one sounds alright though. • Angle with that shot at TNA was great. • I was waiting for Authors of Pain to show up. Again, as they're NXT guys, I'm not familiar with them but my first impressions are that they are what you would get if you mixed 3 Minute Warning and The Shield together. It sucks that Ellering won't be with them now though. I actually think having him by their side would be good. We don't have enough tag team managers these days. • When it comes to Wyatt and Hardy, I'm waiting for one of two things to happen this year. 1: Wyatt attacks Hardy and his partnership was just a ruse. 2: Wyatt slowly distances himself from Hardy after a while and this is all just a way to repackage Wyatt and get him away from all the Sister Abigail's and buzzards. • Overall, Raw was good, although the WWE should stop referring to the post-WrestleMania Raw as "Raw After Mania" and just refer to it as "NXT Raw", as that's essentially what it is. Every year. |
