Literally got chills when Khal Drogo went on his tirade. Wasn't sure how I felt about his voice at the beginning of the show, but it is totally fitting and he is a serious mofo.

Bit torrent has been excellent for me. Some eztv uploader on pirate bay is what I use. Great picture / sound quality, and quick enough for me to watch on monday night.

I've relentled and started reading the books.
Just finished the first hundred or so pages, (where the first TV episode finished) Here are some points I'd like to make. * Robb Stark and Jon Snow look nothing like 14 years of age on the TV Show. * In watching the show I wasn't aware of 'Rickon' the youngest Stark child. * I thought Theon was the 5th Stark Child (It hasn't been put across in the show very well how a Greyjoy came to be living with the Starks. Although maybe that will come later when it has more relevance) * It's after reading this section of the first book that I realise how well Mark Addy captured Robert Baratheon. * I concur with Narc, The Daenerys chapters are fabulous. |

All the children were made older in the TV series by a few years per Martin's suggestions - much easier to find good actors that way. Rickon is in the TV series, but he's not really important to anything considering how young he is. Theon gets much more explanation in the second book.

If you subscribe to HBO and you're provider isn't Time Warner you can get HBOGO for free. It has every episode of the wire available to stream from your laptop or ipad or whatever.

Also, about the most recent episode.
Everything is just happening so quickly now. I love it. Not sure how much they're going to get done in this season, but I just know I'm going to be dying for next season as soon as this is over. Love the dire wolves. Syrio Forel is a badass, and I seriously hope he is not dead. My friends and I all heard a metal sword drop, or clang against stone.. soooo, they left it open with not showing us what happened. So, Rob Stark told the scout they were headed straight for Tywin. In reality, they're going for Jaime and the River Lords. White walkers.. geez. Gonna be hell on earth the moment they get past the wall. I foresee a dragon coming into play somewhere in this series. No way they were foreshadowing so much with the eggs and talking about it if there isn't going to be one. I see a dragon being what saves them from the white walkers. |

Nevermind all that buddy.
Look at this Also, excellent quote from Tyrion this week. Shagar - How do you want to die half-man? Tyrion - In my bed when I'm 80 years old with a belly full of wine and a girls mouth around my cock. |

How did it take a TV show for me to know of this book?
Literally read 3/4 of it last night up to where we are on TV. I strongly recommend everyone reading it, I will even snail mail my copy to somebody once I'm done if there are any takers? |

I would read it, if I didn't have literally 100 other books waiting to be read first.
Some day, though. |

Send it this way when you're done. Sign the inside cover, and we'll pass the book on through TPWW.

Just watched the most recent episode...absolutely fantastic. I don't think I'll be able to resist reading the books much longer.
Sir Barristan is also an absolute man amongst men. I can't express in words how much I love how they've developed his character so well with so little screen time. You know what, gonna start reading the books right now. |

I just think it was a bit over the top to gang rape Arya like that. I mean, the girl's only like 10.

Can't believe Littlefinger was the only one who didn't join in. He's the first one you'd look at and think 'Paedo Rapist'

I hadn't even noticed they've been juggling the locations shown in the title sequence depending on what areas are actually featured in the episode. Nice little detail.
