You're not doing anything wrong. I've only gotten one exotic bounty and two legendary engram drops the entire time I've owned the game. Exotics are very hard to find, and an exotic bounty is a direct way of getting one, so it's going to be rare that it pops up, even if you've been playing the game for a while. I just got my first at 26.

Well awesome. Did the level 24 and 26 weekly strike, then did the daily Heroics on 26, then a few tiger strikes and a bunch of bounties.

Came away with only 1 purple engram (Which came out as Warlock boots, Im a titan) then I rolled the dice and blew 23 motes of light on an engram....Warlock helmet.

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH DESTINY.

Thats just from today, I get ass fucked like that non stop.

Level 10 Crytarch is yet to yield me a single purple engram.

Basically I played a ton for 3 weeks so I could go from no purple gear to all gear (Crucible and queen armor currently) in 1 day, now a week of non stop grinding and playing around 5 hours a day for 6 days has yielded me shit. I dont expect hand outs but would be nice to feel like I was actually working towards something.

Yeah, wish they wouldnt randomize the class items like that. I guess they think everyone is going to play multiple characters. I mean, I have a lvl 20 hunter, and my 10 warlock, but really I only play as the Titan.

I'm sticking with my Hunter.

Differences between gameplay in the classes isn't big enough to warrant starting from scratch. AT least to me, anyway.

Acquiring Exotics options:

Option A: Do a ton of Vanguard bounties. Eventually, you'll be given an exotic weapon bounty. Do your research before you choose, and prepare to do some major work for it.

Option B: Legendary Engrams. Get them from drops or the new mission rewards, and pray that one turns exotic. Happened to me, don't get angry. It's strictly luck.

Option C: The Crucible. Quite literally..........suck for luck. On 2 occasions, I've had worse players on my team unlock exotic weapons. My buddy who was ranked under me got the Ice Breaker sniper rifle. And another player, dead last on our team, got The Last Word hand cannon. First is worst, at least, that's the formula I've been following.

Option D: Xur. If's he got something you like, buy it. Nothing's piqued my interest as of yet. Holding out for the Hunter gauntlets. Only piece I need to go legendary or exotic so I get that trophy.

we did 2 queen's missions last night and they were... very difficult. I was also level 21 at the time, so that had something to do with it.

I doubt I'll be on tonight in all honesty. Maybe late night but I'm thinking probably not.

Bungie states they are considering adding in matchmaker support for the game's harder missions although made no guarantees if it would even be done nor arrive in the near future.

Great. Gotta get 500 points of Void Damage in the crucible to unlock The Thorn. Problem is only weapon I got with void damage is my rocket launcher.

Figs you pulled it off. Any tips?

Side note, found another set of blueprints of a ship today. Still rather use Chasing Infinity.

Mmmmmmmmm. Had to shell out all my crucible marks and grab The Comedian shotgun. Had the void damage attached and did a run around in Rumble. Did alright. Might wanna wait and upgrade it a bit.

Also, more info for Iron Banner. There's a lot of weapons and armor to earn aside from the stuff the guy is giving out at The Tower. Almost like Queen's Wrath, but like 3x the stuff to get. Found a list of what's up for grabs.

The Iron Banner gear are no more powerful than the stuff you can get in Vanguard or Crucible shops when you gain rep. There's nothing special aside from Iron Banner colors.

ugh. No way am I gonna accomplish any of those Banner bounties. Suck too much at crucible, and don't even have any good guns outside of the exotic shotgun which isn't leveled up at all.

You can rock it with a blue level gun. I use a blue level auto rifle. The melee bounty is fairly easy. The regular crucible bounties can be done in Iron Banner so you can put stuff out of the way just the same.

I dunno if I really care enough at this point, tbh. Starting to get bored. Only so long that I can do the same missions in the same areas, fighting the same enemies. Swear to god, if I hear "Deep beneath the Cosmodrome" one more time, I'm gonna scream. Might try out the raid, but after that I think I might be done until the DLC comes out.

Keep in mind I've put A LOT of time into this already. Was laid out with a knee injury for like a week, and played the shit out of this for most of it. But whatevs. Was fun while it lasted.

Now that my internet is working better I want to get back on SF IV and punch people in the nuts with Makoto.

Gee, I wonder if there is anyone on TPWW with a 360 and SF IV that I can punch in the nuts with Makoto.
