I had a better time with Ghostbusters. I wasn't bored. Simple fan says they were great with characters. They weren't. Deadshot and Harley get lots of love. But that's it. Diablo gets one scene where he explains everything at the very end. The other characters don't get shit. They're just there.

Each member gets their own introduction and has something to contribute to the team throughout the movie. Diablo had great development all the way through that culminates with his final scene.

I wasn't personally invested. You mistook being objective about what was being said as me being invested. I posted z review of it in the rate the last movie thread. It was ok. Nothing special. But I had more fun watching that movie than Suicide Squad. I was actually bored in SS. For a lot of it.

You were not being objective. You were being very emotional.
That said, I have seen neither film yet. I wish they were both good films as I still plan to watch them eventually. |

Perhaps you took it as emotionally. It's not what I was attempting.
I'd say give them a look. If you had to choose I'd say Ghostbusters is more deserving of your money. It's much less of a cluster fuck and, imo, more enjoyable. |

Movie was better than what I anticipated but nothing special. Wish Will Smith wasn't cast, I enjoyed Harley Quinn, Joker was ok Leto did fine, I just don't like the tattoos or his teeth.

Feel like he had such little time in no way could I judge his performance. He was interesting but never got past that due to having a very minor role.

I'll agree could have had more Joker. Leto said they filmed enough to do a Joker movie and they cut a lot out. Could have more in the DVD release like Dawn of Justice though.

Suicide Squad was awesome, critics annoy me when it comes to reviewing 95% of movies but overall I love it.
I thought everyone nailed it mainly Smith & Margot |

Harley Quinn still seems weird without her thick accent.

Well, the problem is the trailers. They hire these people to splice together these incredible trailers. The trailers become so good that the movie cant possibly live up to the hype and then leaves itself vulnerable to bad reviews because of such.

Just saw this movie. I must say that I enjoyed it. Was it perfect? No. It kept me entertained, though.

How was Joker? Feel like Leto did a TON of work only for a lot of content to get cut.

And no one else matters to me in that movie. Maybe Harley, but I already feel like I'm watching a different version without her yelling "MISTAH JAY!!!!"

Joker still looks dumb as hell as a "gangsta", and most of the time doesn't really feel like The Joker and more like a "gangsta" mob boss, but then other times he does feel like The Joker (but just looking dumb).

Also, couldn't stop thinking that Rick Flagg looked like Big Cass (except not 7 feet tall, and with short hair)

I really liked the movie. Heck, I am genuinely interested in more of this Joker as well. Screw the critics.

The trailer has zero to do with critical reception. It just wasn't a very good movie and was reviewed as such. The Dark Knight trilogy had stellar trailers and still received wide spread critical praise.

I do love how DC fans get so wound up by their movies getting poor/mixed reviews.
Some of the stuff I read online is hilarious. |

The petition to shut down Rotten Tomatoes was hilarious. The conspiracy theory that Rotten Tomatoes is out to get D.C. is even funnier, since Warner owns a third of RT's parent site, fandango.
Simple Fan with a typical D.C. fanboy response and claim that critics going in are looking for things to criticise. God forbid a movie you like getting negative critical reception that you're unable to understand or identify |

I'm not a DC fan boy, I like both Marvel and DC. I just think DC makes movies feel more like a comic book and I like them. I like the Marvel movies as well but these DC movies just fit me better. A lot of critics say there was no plot or story which is just stupid. I'm not sure what movie they were watching or if they even watched it.

Well I've seen numerous reviews that claim there isn't a plot. The only reviews that really matter though are audience reviews which have been mostly positive.

Curious as to why you feel like DC Movies feel more like a comic book. Please list your reasons and cite your sources.

Still not 'recovered' from Dark Knight Trilogies
Although Dark Knight Trilogies concluded 4 years ago, I need more of a 'time gap' between that movie, and whenever I can truly enjoy anything Batman-related again.
Dark Knight trilogies in my eyes, was almost perfect in anyway.......which is why anything, or any character associated with 'Batman' appearing in other movies in too short a time frame will 'annoy me.' I wasn't ready to accept Ben Affleck's 'Batman.' I am not ready to accept a non-Heath Ledger Joker. Of course, that's just me, but I'd just personally prefer it if no Batman-Joker related movies came out until 2020 (which was my original hope). |

The plot was weak. The reason for the team to exist was non existent. Then all of a sudden, Enchantress, for some inexplicable reason, decides to turn on everyone and builds a nondescript machine of some sort that does something that's never quite explained.
The villain has no motive. The team is shoe horned into assembly. Flagg and Moon'sc relationship is never expanded. The Joker was completely useless to the story and entirely unneeded. The only character with any real heft was Deadshot. And to a smaller, last minute extent. Diablo. It was also poorly paced. The beginning with all the origin stories was ok, but Wallerc repeating herself in back to back scenes was redundant. Then they start to recruit the squad for no reason. There's no imminent threat. So what was the point? They weren't needed until after the heel turn. The action itself was also boring. Not to mention, sending in 4 humans to fight these God like beings makes no sense. They talk about these meta humans. But only Diablo fits that bill. Killer Croc has a skin disease but they present him as a man reptile hybrid but if I recall correctly never actually explain that. The movie's a big mess. Whether you can acknowledge that or not. You bypassed all the criticism in the BvS thread and made the same dumb remark that people go in looking for flaws when the reality is the flaws are right there front and center. You just choose to ignore them and instead of acknowledging them you pretend that a large contingent of people saying the same thing must be wrong. |
