It seems that you can customize cars completey, as was mentioned before. The outside and the inside. You can even customize the license plates. It's also possible to overtune your car but i'm no car expert so I don't know if that means your car blows up or breaks down.

Game companies have entered a trend where they release a game for $60 that has maybe 10-15 hours, give or take a couple, of content. As long as it doesn't become a requirement or semi-forced to do all those side missions, it shouldn't be an issue.

Think Mass Effect 3 and Black Ops II somewhat forced having side missions and/or multiplayer done in order to do well near the end of the single player. Without it either the final mission(s) were a lot harder or the endings were completely tied into them being done.

Just curious but did you think the same things regarding the other GTA titles? I mean to say San Andreas was a large game for its time. You will be playing this game likely well into next year if you want 100% completion, so basically you can pick this up 6 months after release and dick around and STILL accomplish something new.

I haven't touched GTA IV since I completed it, because it is horrible to do so in.

This of it this way, with that level of game you alone will not likely play the same way twice. Replay value!

They better not include a ton of compulsary-complete flying sequences. Those things are always a nightmare on PC.

Exactly. Same goes for non-side mission activities. They're just fun little diversions for people who might at some point might need to get away from the main quest.

PC version rumored to be included based on leaks from several retailers although at the moment no release dates were listed.

If GTA history is any indication, it would arrive around 6 months after the Xbox 360 and PS3 version.

Yeah, I hate water levels in games.

I can see why he would be excited by the diving gear, though. It's a whole new level of exploration for R*.

I never felt the controls were bad and I don't think I ever ran out of time on that stage. Even when I played it at a very young age.
The only issue might be that they had it too early in the game. Maybe it would have been better received if it were a later level.
