Ambrose v. Reigns as the future...
So, I watched the network show Ride Along with Reigns and Ambrose riding together. If after watching that show, anyone thinks that Reigns has more charisma, energy or personality than Ambrose, and that Reigns deserves to be the company "guy" over Ambrose, I think you should get your head examined.

They're pretty much opposites in the pros and cons.
Reigns has a phenomenal look, but hasn't been given any time to develop who he is as a character. He has no distinct personality whatsoever, which is a must for the top guy. Ambrose on the other hand has a great character with a personality all his own. Unfortunately he looks like the crazy meth dealer that lives under the overpass. Not exactly the model figurehead for a family friendly publicly traded company like WWE. Ambrose is better than Reigns in the ring, but not by that much. At this point, Reigns matches are anywhere between good to great. I've definitely warmed up to him on that front. Last edited by Fignuts; 04-04-2016 at 03:09 AM. |

From the few promo's I've seen of Reigns', my opinion is that he's trying to hard.....and he's not being himself. A part of this might be creative's fault if they are giving RR a 'script' of what to say. My gut feeling says that if RR is given more creative control on the mic, and is allowed to be himself, he could become similar to Kevin Nash (mic wise). |

I have to confer to Steve Austin, in that Reigns won't be embraced until he has a run as a heel.
All the peices are there, Reigns just needs time to put them together, and I think a heel turn can only help with that. |

Also think it would have helped his shortcomings personality wise, if he had been booked as a dominant world beater like lesnar and goldberg. That's pretty much who he was in the shield, and how he got over in the first place. Since then, he's been made to look vulnerable most of the time. On the rare occasions when he returned to his more ass kicking mentality the crowd SHOCKINGLY reacted positive to it.

It's much easier to get over as a silent heel beating baby faces than it is as an awkward face trying to talk down heels.

The segment of the crowd that boos him are doing it negate they are anti establishment.
Those people have no idea why they dislike Roman, they just know the machine is behind him, so they hate him. If he was on some indy show in front of 200 people a night, and had the same act, he would be loved. The vast majority of people who are critical of Roman have never been in or have any understanding of the business of sports or entertainment. The good news is these same people will be back in Orlando to booo whoever the machine has in the top spot. |

Is he really? Reigns does get great face pops on House Shows......particularly in smaller towns. I'm not saying that I entirely agree with CyNick (i.e. I do think Reigns needs to get better on the mic to get more accepted by the fans), but I also believe that the fans have become trolls in recent years......stemming back to Daniel Bryan's Summerslam victory over Cena. |

I know why I dislike Roman Reigns just like 100,000 people last night know why they dislike Reigns, he's a phoney. Not one word he says sounds credible and he kills me with his unneeded facial expressions. I'm not even real big on his matches as there all pretty much the same. He gets beat down then he hulks up and does his 5 moves of doom. Hate his finishers to. Turning heel would help him with his personality and his ring work.

There are people however, that are invested in the product. People that really love wrestling and watch a ton of it. They know when something doesn't look or feel right. Sure, from the cold perspective of a moderate fan who admires the WWE as a business, Reigns ia perfect for his look and size. But for people who watch the product and really invest time and money into it, it is clear as day that he is not ready for the role he is in. He is stiff, colourless, has exaggerated reactions that take you out of the match, a boring moveset, an underdeveloped personality as well as unoriginal attire, music or even catchphrases (see "Believe that") You don't need to be an expert to see that he is not ready and 100,000 of the companies biggest and most dedicated fans told them that last night. When it happens naturally, he will be accepted. The same thing would happen in any sports or entertainment arena where a person clearly wasnt ready and was spoiling the product for other people. |

I feel VERY confident that I am well tied in to the business side of the WWE. In that respect I don't take a backseat to anyone in terms of product knowledge and it how it influences business. As for Reigns, he was the headliner on the show that was witnessed live by more fans than any event in history, it drew the largest gate in history, and it was viewed online/ppv more than any sports entertainment show in history. The smarks like to boo him just like they live to boo John Cena. The same John Cena who makes $10 million+ per year and has been a part of 10 Manias in a row that drew over 60k fans. Hogan didn't do that, even Austin didn't do that. So if the smarks continue to boo Reigns, I would take that as money in the bank. |

Vince had some issues with his prostate a while ago. I don't think he can produce in that department. Unlike me, you should see Melania when I'm finished, it's like the end of Ghostbusters.

Do you actually believe that if Austin or Rock had the capability in their prime to reach as many people as Cena or Reigns do today, that Austin or Rock wouldn't have been even bigger draws for WWE in terms of audience/money than they were in comparison to what Cena or Reigns are today? WM33 should be the triple threat all-Shield match. Ambrose wins to complete the trilogy.

Honestly though I would 100p legit be invested in Roman's character if they turned his @$$ heel and had him feud with Ambrose. Would be awesome.

They could have announced Fandango vs. Damien Sandow as the WrestleMania 32 main event a few months ago and they still would have sold 100k tickets. The name of the show sells itself.

Spot on always hated the spear unless it was the Gore or Goldburg. Even hated Edges Superman punch is weak to. If he turned heel he'd have to work a match without all his generic spotfest moves. Really needs to be more of a powerhouse and have more lifting moves.

Wrestlemania is like the Superbowl. It draws on its own regardless of who participates.

I was just thinking the other day if WWE are willing to give away Mania free(to an extent) and they are doing better now than ever with advertisers what are the chances that eventually they air Mania on NBC and have a set up like the Super bowl with commercials.

Maybe not Wrestlemania but I could see them trying a lesser PPV on a major network perhaps. Maybe Summerslam? Networks are always looking for summertime filler

I just rewatched the main event of WM and realized a big problem with Reigns is he is just not very good in the ring. I don't get Raw but watch the PPVs on the network, and just realized this fact. The dude has a superman punch and an average looking spear. I don't think I saw any actual wrestling out of him. Thinking back the past few years I don't think I have seen any moveset out of him. At least Cena had the 5 moves of doom before he improved. Not really sure what Reigns has, somebody please post videos of good Reigns matches.

His whole move set is designed to get a pop when really he should be a power house. Only power ilifting moves he has is a Samoan drop and that power bomb he does when people have a hold of his arm.
