DOOM (No, not that one, the new one) It's actually good!
Well this was a surprise. I bought it because I got for cheap (free in the end as it turned out) and after the multiplayer beta that was shite and the delay in review copies, I expected the worst.... But it's easily the best single player FPS campaign of this console generation so far. Not tried the multiplayer as the beta was so bad, but snapmap map creation looks pretty cool. I may just see this as single player and it will do me until Overwatch is out. Anyone else grab it? |

Bought this for my brother for his birthday. But I don't think he put the disc in yet.

Hnnng, I cannot believe they pulled this off with all the leavers from iD. The soundtrack is metal as fuck, there's a story but it never gets in your way, the movement is FAST with no run button or reloading slowing you down. Just circle strafe those fucks, pop them to stagger and finishing move. This is up there for GOTY for me, everything about it is what I've missed in a single player FPS in about a goddamn decade.

This is amazing. I was kinda surprised no one here seemed to be playing it. The spec requirements will stop it from being in esports tournaments but damned if it doesn't look good. Very much in the same "OK, this is unexpectedly amazing" level as Wolfenstein was in 2014.

There's something to just grabbing both sides of an enemy skull and just tearing it in half. |

This is 20 dollars at Gamestop. Is it worth it? Seems like it is.

Haha the assistant manager at Gamestop was confused when I told him. They still have Doom under the new games for 60. Then he said that's bulls hit and sold it to me for 20. Now to find a day where I can sit down and play it for a long period of time.

Played Doom VR at Quakecon, was a letdown tbh. Teleportation and slower paced Doom doesn't make up for the VR experience.

Going to bing on this Sunday. Hoping it is hard. Seems like it's easy from what I seen and it's more about the awesomeness of killing demons.
