Well I doubt they exhumed the corpse of Warrior.

Gameplay was shown on the Balor/Rollins video. Basically, watch any video of 2k15 and add a couple of meters for new minigames and you have 2k16 gameplay.

Yea, I saw that gameplay which was alright. Balor seemed to have the right "mannerisms" or whatever.

Warrior looked fine last year. They can re-hash/improve it and it will look fine. I was more raging against the fucking WCW DLC they had that was fucking comical at best.

Could have done a better job using MS Paint and just fucking copypasta-ing a IRL pic of DDP

Slater and Ryder were in that group of "current guys who will miss the cut if they choose to leave out current people in spite of the huge roster". Los Matadores might still fit that category but I kinda doubt they'd go out of their way to omit only 2 people at this point. I don't really give a shit about them anyway.

Current jobbers like Axel, Fandango, and The Ascension were all in last year so I assumed at worst that they'd have their models recycled in again this year.

Los Matadorés have played a pretty huge role in the tag division this year, so I think it's a fairly safe bet they'll be in.

@drave, re: DDP -- Yeah...I've taken shits that look more realistic than his laughable 2K15 DLC model. Maybe this year we'll get "inspirational"/"motivational" DDP c.2002. I loved all his schtick with Christian, especially the segment where they're both in the locker room and Christian mocks DDP's smile, and then some kid comes in and calls Christian ugly, LOL.

I really want more info on the creation suites. Like are there still only 25 caw slots? Did they just drop create an arena back in as it was, or did they improve on it?

I also want all my old entrance animations back , god damn it.

I really didn't think the gameplay was all that bad last year. It actually presented a challenge. I found My Career mode to be monotonous as all hell. Hopefully it's improved this year.

Really liked the gameplay last year, yeah.

Here's an idea though. More reversal animations, so every single counter isn't a russian or inverted russian leg sweep.

I enjoy the paint tool, but due to my lack of any real skill creating actual wrestlers, haven't used it that much over the years. I like how '09 allowed you to be able to mix and match certain clothing and physical features between divas and superstars, and wish they'd bring that aspect back.

I really like that. Stardust looks fucking spot on, too.

Loads of mongs online complaining that they preferred the normal cancelled pin because it allowed them to continue the match to increase the drama. Says something about a game when you need to artificially extend the match just to keep yourself interested.

Right now the "cancel pin" feature just has the other guy kick out regularly. Seemingly the only reason to do it is to make the match longer than in needs to. Never really understood the need really. Especially since the hardest difficulty on 2k15 actually presented somewhat of a challenge.

At least the cancel pin motion this year is useful for trolling around with your friends online or something.

Cesaro looks spot on. Kidd looks a little off.

Very curious if the paint rubbing off will work for CAWs, or just in-game people like Sting, Stardust, Balor, etc.

Seems like they're really starting to push a lot closer to dsmn-near photorealism. Might not be quite there yet, but give them 2-5 more years and who knows how far they'll be able to push the envelope.
