1) According to The Verge, roughly 73% of Ouya owners have yet to purchase a game with the current highest selling game so far has only generated $21,000 in revenue.

4) Activision Blizzard announces they have split away from majority owner Vivendi Entertainment with the majority of Vivendi's shares purchased to the cost of around $8.2 billion. That may be true, but it misses the point (granted, Smelly Meatball's summary sucks and fails to capture the heart of the matter). This is about the purchase of games designed for the Ooooooooooo-yeah! This was a selling point to consumers and to developers, and has thus far turned out not to pan out. In fact, the fact that people are just playing their already-purchased Android titles might make things worse.

A good chunk of this article is based on the concept of the Ouya's free version model, and how most users have decided to stick with the free versions rather than upgrading to paid versions.

I thought "throwing a tantrum" was Fish up to his old tricks.

In any event, it probably needed clarification. I've seen people who think that Polytron pulled the plug on Blowfish due to his comments being too offensive, so there is some confusion and people might have been waiting for polyconfirmatron.

Fish should just drink all of that Polyjuice and allow Polytron to have full control over his body to avoid further Polytical issues.

A company that big loses sight on something like that. If they're not a worldwide phenomenon they're probably thinking they're failing. I know a few companies would wish for numbers like that.

They're a public traded company beholden to shareholders. A reduction in their userbase represents a problem for them, regardless of how much money they're still making. They haven't "lost sight" on anything.

The new Mortal Kombat game ties in only in a cross-marketing way, not in narrative. Here's the show and here's game sort of thing. They would still be two separate universes.

While my own thoughts on MK are well documented, I've been eager for the tenth game a long time. There's some mythology connotations there.

It's always kind of annoying when people think a company will reveal a new game at Gamescom and a bunch of Americans (but not all, obviously.) say they wont, purely because the show isn't in America. They do the same for magazines, too. "This new info must be fake because the source is a foreign magazine!" or "They wont reveal anything new because Gamescom is a German show!".
It doesn't matter how many times companies show new things to non-US magazines or debut things at non-US shows, every year a bunch of Americans say the same thing.

Now all we have to do is wait for PC fanboys to call whatever MS does with this a "gimmick" because, y'know, Oculus Rift is a genuine step forward in gaming because it's a PC thing but the exact same thing on a console would just be a stupid, childish gimmick.
