Bulldog was like the British Hogan, even though he was a midcard act. Always remember liking him when I was a kid just because he's from here and I guess because he had a cool outfit and weird hair. I live about 20 minutes from Golborne. Shithole.

They tried with Bulldog and it didn't work. That was later in his career, mind you. SummerSlam '94 outdrew SummerSlam '92 (which was obviously well-attended). I think Owen's time in the main event would have come closer to 2000. Feels like he would have put it all together, but that's purely speculation.

I like how you choose the smallest possible picture of Davey Boy and the largest possible picture of Owen.
Anyway, my vote goes for whoever has the bigger picture, so Owen. But seriously, I got more enjoyment out of Owen's career than I did with Bulldog's. Its a shame neither really made it to the attitude era because I think they would've both done outstanding. |

I always thought Bulldogs best work was in a tag team and in those teams, he was the 2nd best to me in every team. His solo matches with HBK and Bret in 92 were very good, but years later after you hear all the stories, you learn Bret pretty much carried that whole match and HBK pretty much the same thing.
I did love his 1997 stuff with the Harts. it was my fav year in wrestling and i thought his best single storyline of his career was with Ken Shamrock. The matches sucked, but i loved the feud. His WCW and 2000 WWF runs were horrible. I said a lot about Owen in the other thread, but Owen was the much better worker and leagues better in character and promo skills. Bulldog played his part in the team as being the muscle guy very well though. but this goes to Owen. I will say Owen and Davey are one of the best tag teams of all time. I would even say they were better then the Hart Foundation. Maybe that should be another poll |

Bulldog had such a strange career. He was amazing until like 1992, then he sucked ass, then he got good again somehow from 95-97 and then dropped off a cliff.

Owen had the more interesting character and personality. But as good as he was in the ring, I feel bulldog was more versatile. He had that really impressive power and strength, but he also had the technical skills as well.
In the end, went with bulldog. |

At times I thought of Bulldog that "he has potential to be a top guy maybe", and other times I thought "this guy is perfectly average" Owen Hart I thought "why isn't this guy a top guy RIGHT NOW?" |

Owen Hart
Bulldog is like Hogan and Bret Hart for me Ive never understood the appeal and when I did see them they bored me to death. Gertner anything I should see to change this opinion Ive see mostly Camp Cornette and Hart Foundation era stuff a tiny tiny bit if his cornrows era |

Owen. He was good as a singles competitor, while I never bought Bulldog on his own.
Also, Owen used the piledriver, which I loved. |

I'm going back and watching old matches I haven't seen in years to try and wash away my cynicism. Bret and Owen in the Steel Cage at SummerSlam '94 is a masterpiece on levels that I never appreciated as a kid.

Bulldog was more over, but if I was starting a company and had to choose one or the other in their primes, I'd pick Owen. Love me some Bulldog though.

Haha, I went on holiday with my family as I was just getting into wrestling, and I got sick, so my mom let me rent out some movies from the video store. I went to the wrestling section and the two I happened to pick up were Royal Rumble 1992 and WrestleMania X. I was spoiled that day. |
