Star Trek: Picard
I am genuinely excited for this show; fuck the Kelvin timeline and the prequels (except for an Anson Mount-led Captain Pike show); Prime timeline gloriousness all the way. I do wonder, however, if they will reference any of the changes to events, if the Kelvin timeline is incorporated into it.

Was already hyped. Picard is best captain. Then I saw this trailer....
R SO MEGA HYPE NAO!~~ Seriously though, the production looks incredible. Seems more serious in tone too, which I like. Hopefully this trailer is accurate of the final product because I feel like this could be something special. |

I think we could do without B4, though; I don't want to see a bloated Brent Spiner still playing an android.

looks incredible. i didn't really know what this show was going to be from all the early teases and stuff and i naturally worry about patrick stewart starting a new series at his age (just seems so frail; even his voice has lost some of the power it had when he was picard the first time around) but after that trailer i am irrevocably on-board. holy shit yes.

I thought I read somewhere they will acknowledge the destruction of Romulus, so this will be the prime universe.
I'm super jazzed about this though |

I have a theory: In a recent cast interview (I'll add it if I can find it) Brent Spiner himself confirmed that he was playing Data. I believe he'll be around as either something in the holodeck (hence why Picard says "I don't want this game to end," a flash back to the final scene of "All Good Things..." and thus the series, of them playing cards) and/or flash backs.

Look at the size of those women on the right hand side's hands. They look like novelty prosthetics.

That black woman's hands are not the sort of hands you want wrapped around your tadger unless the thing was built to last.
I wonder how many nightmares she is responsible for, how many men's confidence she has destroyed with one high five? |

Well, there will be no Ferengi Captain on this series. Aron Eisenberg who portrayed Nog on Deep Space Nine died last night.
RIP. |

How come Bjorn Borg has never once been in Star Trek but he's totally fine with them using his name?

Oh Amazon and CBS, why are you pulling this 1 episode a week bullshit with us? I want to binge me some Picard. I will have to wait until the end of March to watch it, once all the episodes are available.

First episode started off slow.... but picked up, and now I guess I am interested in the mystery.
"Weird" at Picard having servants, though...... would think that the future didn't do "servants"..... |

It felt like an episode of TNG but with the budget of a movie. So good.
Can't wait for the next episode. |
