They pop up alot in real storyline quests. Not so much in the side quests like Minutemen. But pretty much every conversation n that impact the story. |

Although when dumping off all my excess junk at a workshop I inadvertently took off the outfit I was wearing and didn't realize it. Made for a hilarious surprise during the next cutscene while I was just standing there in my undies.

There's a button to press that says remove all junk. It only dumps actual junk not gear and weapons though. Those can be dumped and converted to junk if you have enough Perk points invested.

Yeah I dumped all my junk but also was carrying a shitload of extra apparel that I didn't want to lug around, and that's where I accidentally removed my own clothes.
Made for a nice sight gag since I made my guy as ridiculous looking as possible. Fat, pompadour haircut, scarred to shit. |

I'm pretty beat up doc!
Put on some damn clothes! I made a minuteman with a batting helmet on a Doc in the Castle. Still can't get everybody happy with plenty of food, stores, defenses, water and beds. Fucking Millenials. |

I have no problem with the malformed Macho Man skinned around deathclaws (and the different varieties in different trunks and boots, no less), yet find hotpants Hogan mildly disturbing.

If you run out of ammo in this game you're doing it wrong. I have never bought a single round of ammo and other than the really rare types for one-off weapons, I have at least 1000 rounds of each kind of ammo. Probably because I focused on all the crit and ap building skills so I just pop into VATS and kill everything with 1-3 shots. No wasted ammo other than the occasion when I have to back off and recharge AP and need to spray and pray a little.
I also have 300+ stimpaks and have never bought or crafted a single one. This game doesn't make you monitor your resources as much as previous entries did. |

I'm currently playing through with a "Rick Grimes" build for a character that I found on Youtube. It's been pretty fun actually. Focuses on pistols (mainly the .44 whenever you have ammo for it), and on using vats and crits like crazy when up close. I'm pretty much a glass canon though. I can blow the shit out of something, but if it gets close enough to attack me back, or if I don't have cover I get trashed. Really unique way to play the game honestly.

My gf wanted to "like stuff I like" and wanted to play. I taught her about the workshop so now I play all the missions and she maintains all my settlements. I dunno of I love it or hate it lol

If not a mod, likely a build. Rick would have every chem and alcohol perk and a 10 science with every box there tapped and possibly bloody mess. I can see Morty being built around the Idiot Savant perk... unless it's evil eyepatch Morty.

Diggin the melee character so far. Made a chained baseball bat and absolutely destroy shit. Can't wait to get melee damage even higher. At max level, there is a chance to knock heads off with each swing, and it will be GLORIOUS!

You know, I don't mind doing them Preston's quests as a whole.
That said, *my* problem with them seems to stem from: a) when a settlement is under seige, why do I *have* to be there for it not to fail and kill everyone off? My settlers are fully armed with real guns and armor, and the settlement has like 4x the defense to resourse ratio. If I actually show up in most places, I don't have to lift a finger, and they mop up like nothing. But if don't go, they get slaughtered. But okay, it's a thing to make sure you go... b) time limit. I don't like timed quests. It's one of the reasons I don't love Dead Rising as much as I feel I should. I don't want to drop everything to sprint to something that really could have waited if the programmers didn't insist on putting you on an arbitrary clock. But alright, there is usually a substantial window of time between request and failure... c) THE GAME DOESN'T RELIABLY TELL YOU ABOUT A AND B! I bitched about the first two things to get to this, as this seems to tie my issue with Minutemen missions together in one package. Like I said, I don't mind doing this stuff. And as far as the timed missions, I rarely had to drop everything and give my full attention to a settlement quest. However, when I did, it was usually because the game never told me about shit to begin with. I've had defense missions I "failed" without ever being told they were under attack. Sometimes, it was a place I literally just left... as in, I walked down the road after building shit in or buying/selling stuff at the settlement in question, and suddenly the people I just interacted with literally about 30 seconds ago are pissed and their crops are all messed up. WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN??? And I don't like to fast travel (passes time faster for enemy respawns, and likes to warp you in the middle of a pack of enemies at that). The worst was when I was trying to get Cait clean, and I had a mission in my inventory to clear a new settlement for someone. I marched all the way down to where we were supposed to go, wrecked that shit, did the mission, and was leaving the area to head to said settlement, and it failed because I somehow ran out of time... on an empty settlement populated by ghouls. I reloaded a save before wandering south with Cait, and lo and behold, I now get a warning that I was running out of time on that settlement mission. Hm, could've used that before. I *did* get that mission quite awhile ago (game time), and it was more than enough time to complete several missions and hike to that town. I just don't like how unreliable the game's system of telling you what you need to know is. I don't like being unaware and suddenly losing or dying because of something I had no clue was even a problem. Game can tell me I'm overencumbered every ten seconds, but can't say "hey, these people need help soon as you can go" until the moment is gone? THAT is a thing *I* would like to see modded. |

Settlement stuff is starting to sound like more of a nuisance than anything......
Cool thing is I made my melee character after Harley Quinn and Codsworth greets her as "Ms. Quinn". Love the red-chained baseball bat, can't wait for it to be bladed. Need to re-do her face and I'll get a screenshot posted. Gotta find a way to make more of the makeup visible/give her whiteface or something. |

Really disappointed that Garvey doesn't say anything if he's with you when you find the impersonator. Missed opportunity there.

I was knee deep in an escort mission when the impostor approached me. It was very enjoyable outing him and all. It was during my good guy run so I didn't slaughter him. Wondering if he'll run into me during my current heel run. I'm going to wear his skin as a mask and drink his blood.

Melee just got better. Knocking limbs off left and right with a chained baseball bat.
A group of 4 settlers approached me asking for help with raiders. I dropped a frag grenade and ran, then looted. Killed the raiders afterwards. Good times. |

Has there been any news on when mods are coming to xbone? Stopped playing this at the beginning of december because TOO MANY GAMES.
Seriously dunno when I'm going to get back to this as 2016 looks even more jam packed with awesome games than 2015. I have all three systems now too, so I'm not limited in any way on what I can buy. Playing the shit out of Warframe and Rocket League atm, and once SF5 drops forget it. Thats all I'm playing for at least a month. |

On the whole I love this game. It's a lot of fun and even with Preston "I have another settlement that needs help" Gravey, it's not so bad. Add in the completely random stuff and you've got a recipe for success. And with the mods coming out, cannot wait to see what the community is going to do.
Should be insane. |
