I thought of Alex Wright, weirdly enough, even though I don't consider him terrible at all. And I thought "loved Alex Wright, but man Berlyn didn't pan out."

I trained at Alex Wright's school and wrestled on a couple of his NECW shows back in 2011. Very cool guy.
Anyways, my contribution to this thread, while I wouldn't consider this guy a "favourite" terrible wrestler, this segment is still weird/surreal/hilarious. |

I knew that you were a wrestler, Rammsteinmad, but had no clue you trained with Wright. That is cool.

Yeah, not for long, when I first moved to Germany I was looking for somewhere to train/a company to get in with... his was the nearest.

Vito. Duh.
I mean, I always enjoyed him in WCW and I've no real idea why, I just became a fan of his fairly quickly. And in 2006 he made the toughest man in a dress gimmick better than it had any right to be. |

I was a huge Alex Wright mark for some reason.
I really liked Johnny Stramboli or whatever too. |

I need to clarify I don't consider Wright terrible just so-so Berlyn just popped in my head as a failed gimmick that I wanted to love
Glacier WAS ACTUALLY terrible. I have no clue why but I kinda liked Eric Watts even though I knew he sucked probably just thought his gear was cool At one point I kinda liked Buff Bagwell mostly cause his partner in crime was the awesome Scott Norton but I always thought Buff was one of the worst. |

Buff was most certainly the stuff at one point. Vicious and Delicious was probably the greatest WCW tag team of all time not from Hollywood with blonde hair.

Also, I loved the fuck out of Pretty Wonderful. I know Paul Orndorff gets a pass, but people seem to think Paul Roma sucked a lot of ass. I'm not so sure. I was also a fan of Power and Glory.

People would think definitely of Roma if he didn't get thrown into the Horseman. He was very good.

I don't know what the opinion was on him. I mean I know he was Above Average, but I digged Mike Sanders. Matches were not great, but I was a mark for him, for some reason. Suprised he didn't pan out after going over to WWE after it bought WCW.

Where does Norman Smiley fit on the terrible to average scale?
He's another I just remembered about liking a lot in WCW for some reason. |

Smiley is a trainer for WWE still, so there's probably some merit to his work.

Would like to see smileys non wcw work. He definitely embraced his goofy heel character and got kinda over with the dwindling wcw crowds. Remember when he was a standard prelim guy with no personalitu he was relatively proficient.

I think that started on WCW Saturday Night. Scott Hudson would talk about how Smiley wanted his last name pronounced that way before he went Big Wiggle Norman

Jesse as "Slam Master J" in the ring. His interactions with Cryme Tyme were quite amusing, but in the ring...yeeeeeaaaaahhhhhh...
Dug his theme, though, even if it sounds more CFO$ than Jim Johnston. |

I have to throw The Boogeyman in here. The fact that he was a terrible wrestler didn't matter much because all of his matches were short. It was just a comically ridiculous gimmick and Marty Wright was ridiculously committed to it.
