Here's my more in depth thoughts on why I'm not really hyped about Marvel Now:

I was already trying to have a smaller pull list because of my deflation in enthusiasm and interest in most books, I can actually wait longer to pick up my monthlies without being on the edge now. I mean sure, I'm curious to what happens in Marvel and how characters I know evolve but it doesn't feel like I 'must' stay on top of things every week.

So this news of 'relaunched' books doesn't get my that excited, sure I'm enjoying Avengers vs X-Men (I still need to pick up issue 6 and 7) but I have no desire to go for the long haul on any of the new books so far unless the ones I already get end up getting relaunched (Uncanny X-Force, Deadpool, Amazing Spider-Man) If anything, I can just pick up a few trades at half price 2 or 3 months later and if I like it, keep buying the volumes over singles.

Really hate the Scarlet Spider costume from the "reboot" I guess. Only thing good about it are the eyes on the mask.

Don't bother with the Marvel app unless you just want to filter out the clutter of non-Marvel stuff, it's basically Comixology but only with Marvel titles. Also watch out if you're using it on a Kindle Fire, as apparently you can't buy any DC titles through that version of the app for some reason.

I like it as an app, big fan of how it converts comics to fit on my phone's screen and I really like the way it flows.

What I do hate them for is constantly putting great titles on sale. Like right now they've got a big Walking Dead sale on with the first 99 issues for $0.99 each (or £0.69 over here), last week they had a load of cheap recent Amazing Spider-Man and Ultimate Spider-Man titles on sale to tie in with the new film. It's getting to be constant "take my money!", which combined with the limited storage space on my phone is going to get annoying fast.

Marvel Comic-Con Movie News (Source Newsarama):

The long-rumored Guardians of the Galaxy movie is official, and was announced Saturday evening at the Marvel Studios panel during Comic-Con in San Diego. The film is scheduled for release on Aug. 1, 2014.



Additionally, the full titles for the Captain America and Thor sequels were announced:





Test Footage from Ant-Man was shown, but no release date set.



On the Iron Man 3 front, it has been confirmed that Ben Kingsley is indeed The Mandarin.

Mad psyched for winter soldier, and for Thor 2. I said before, that I think that Hela would be my villain of choice for Thor 2, and going off that title, I'd say chances are good.

Jessica Biel will apparently be playing Viper in the new Wolverine flick.

She's got a great look for it, but I don't recall her ever being in a role as an antagonist. Hope she can pull it off, cause Viper is one of my favorite wolvie villains.

Marvel/Disney admitted that they were in fact going to put the Oscorp building from Amazing Spider-Man in the New York during the Avengers final battle. I posted about it a few pages ago.

I mean, I understand keeping your expectations low and taking things with a grain of salt, but this isn't Lady Deathstrike remixed as a female Wolverine - this is a character explicitly connected to an organization that played a major role in Marvel's Phase One. There should really be more speculation than what I've seen since this was announced.

In fact, people just sorta glossed over news of a direct fucking link between Sony's new Spidey-verse and Marvel/Disney's Movie-verse. And now a known Hydra villain is going to play a part in The Wolverine - a story very much based on the Japan arc, making Viper a delayed even off-tone inclusion.

Why was that?
