They banned it in the first place because they didn't want children doing it, not because of its association with a movie critical of race relations in the United States. And thankfully all children have now grown up.

I think he's got his place, but it's limited and the hokey "Braun gets compacted" stuff is gross.

I've never been "sold" on him. The stuff I've seen on PPV has been pretty bad. I think he's over because he's been the only guy that has been allowed to toss runts around.

Braun is the only segment I'll bother looking up each week right now. I don't like him in the ring, so I only watch it when he's done something with a grappling hook or let Roman spear himself into an ambulance instead of a whole match, but that's still more than 99% of Raw.

If WWE stubbornly doesn't want to strike while the iron is hot with a title reign for Braun, him randomly destroying people and stuff every week has been great as the next option.
Normally, WWE's booking of monsters gets stale really quickly but something about Bruan has defied those expectations and even has the crowd fully behind him. |

Is now really the right time for a Braun title run? I don't think it's necessarily the wrong move to be cautious with jamming Braun into that role and throwing everything planned out.

At this point, I'll take anything up to and including Curt Hawkins V Heath Slater for the title over Roman V Brock.

Brock vs. Roman is going to be a tremendous match. And the build to it is there. They haven't gotten Reigns to where he needs to be to be perceived, on-air, as an effective top babyface, but the wider canon of him being the top guy is there, and hardcore fans will still stick around.
I'd personally like to see Brock retain, but at this point I'd definitely run the match. |

Pretty sure with the rumored card I'll be skipping WM this year anyway. Bar 30, I don't think it's been a great event in several years. Last year was fun up until and including the ladder match, so I'll probably still Czech out individual matches if people I resonate with are raving about them.
Will listen to all 7 hours of New Legacy Inc talking over it though because I am a madman. |

I actually quite enjoyed Jax/Asuka.
I think ending the match the way it was ended was good, as there was no legit winner or loser and it leaves everything open for a rematch. I actually think/hope that Jax will be the one to end Asuka's streak and win the Women's Championship in the process. I can see Asuka winning the title from Bliss, holding it for a while, then Jax defeating her for the title and ending the streak as a result. |

Apparently, even though Jericho as announced for Raw 25, he has no deal in place yet.

DAMN iNATOR decided to post on my profile here that he in fact WASN'T being racist at all in this very thread and that I am, in fact, a dunce. If anyone else wants to let him know about himself, I'd encourage you to do so here. In public. For everyone to see.

Is this the place to reaffirm you're a dunce too? I mean, not for these reasons, I just mean generally.

a) Hate his name. "Tough Strongman." Yuck. b) Don't like his look. Giant Eugene. c) Don't like him in long matches. Green as goose shit. See his work with Brock as evidence. d) Only gets over when he is in there with scrubs. Lars Sullivan could be doing what he does better, because Lars looks better and anyone can do it. e) Absolutely hate the goofy presentation designed to try and appeal to...I've got no clue. Kids? The shaking cameras, the lack of reality, the inconsistencies in story and physics. It's like a 5-year-old is booking their favorite wrestler and everything bends to their will. It's just silly, especially when that wrestler isn't that good. Basically, I think he is a symptom of how terrible, unimaginative and lazy WWE has gotten. I think that he is one of the most over guys on the roster shows how poorly the WWE build up genuine stars of genuine ability level. I also find the lack of integrity in the presentation insulting. Not on the same level as Jinder Mahal winning the WWE Title, but close. Why did Kurt fire him? Why did Kurt re-hire him? Why does he struggle with Michael Cole but how can lift a semi-trailer? It's just dumb, and it's blurring together with the comedy wrestling you see in PWG, only it's with a big muscle dude instead of with little flippy guys. I like shit to matter. I want it to be treated with a bit of integrity and for it to make sense within a world. I don't like "nothing makes sense in this world," as a good justification as to why nothing makes sense. I think that's lazy and a cop-out as to why ratings and attendance keep going down, because who could honestly say that this is good television and that they want to subject themselves through a 4-hour show to see Braun go "Roar!" like an internet meme? Peppered through as a special attraction with a focused tone and whatever, fine, but the whole "WWE is ironic, haha," attitude is completely deaf to where they need to be heading. But that's just MY opinion. You keep liking Braun. I'll be interested to see how the WWE tracks over the year. My guess is downwards, but we'll see. |

I watched some of Raw for the first time in a few months. i usually have been reading the results on Tuesday and then I'll You Tube what i found interesting.
it was a tough watch for me. like I've been watching WWE forever and have seen my fair share of silliness, but every Braun segment was like watching something that i think was supposed to be serious, but instead was pure comedy. And i like Braun. I think he's awesome. But good god it was like the everything he was involved in was written, acted out and produced by 9th graders doing a school project. watching him walk into that production truck and destroy papers, watching him pick Michael Cole up and throw him into a barrage of people, watching him hoof and holler as he tears pictures off a wall and then watching him pick up a semi with that hillarious camera work. i felt kind of embarrased watching it. I shut it off after the Cole segment (after Kurt rehired him because Steph said so lol) because i couldn't take any more. I did enjoy rhe Enzo segment and the tag match with the Bar though. Now I did watch some stuff this morning like Jason Jordan quickly becoming my favorite act and the Miz being Awesome! but please no more Braun siliness. |
