It's harsh to say, because you don't want people to lose their jobs or anything, but wrestling is a performance business. Like anything in that field, it comes a time for people to come and go. Not everybody should get the 10 years of service medallion that was such a big thing when Taker got it in 2000.

For the product to remain sharp and stark (Ha! Remain?), you need to cycle guys and gals in and out. It doesn't need to be hostile and it doesn't necessarily mean they are not good at their jobs. Leaving the WWE might mean that they can get more varied training by working in front of different crowds, with different talent, with different styles. You can then come back and be more valuable and make more money than you ever would have made simmering where you were.

I completely forget that too. I wonder if Vince was sold a bill of goods on him, and got told that he's built like a Superstar, etc. Then he came in and he looks just slightly better than your average indy guy.

Maria is pregnant, so it probably ruined "plans" for him. But what plans did they really have? And why can't he just do the same things and make honey-boo-boo faces to the camera telling his gorgeous pregnant wife that he misses her?

He's the very rare case of it not being entirely WWE's fault for his current status.

WWE only really cared for Maria but he came as a package deal and their plans to use him got derailed early because of outside reasons (Maria getting pregnant, Mike in the middle of a drug rehab).

But also from the performers point of view why would you want to stay somewhere where you can't do your job properly, go somewhere else and be a star. I know money would play a part in it but some of these guys could make more money on the indies.

Also they need to use NXT more to repackage or if someone has had a lengthy injury lay off to ease them back in.

Think he took advantage of WWE's drug rehab program very early into his WWE run. Not sure if it was because he relapsed or just wanted to use WWE's vast resources to clean up for good. Only was revealed online by Maria after he was already 3-4 months into the program.

Before that most of the online speculation was the usual WWE misusing the wrestler or were already bored with the gimmick.

I think they should send people back to NXT more often than they do. Not all the time, but occasionally it would help out both products. You're right on the point about going and making more money elsewhere. It is better for the wresting industry, in general, and that in turn helps WWE.

They really should have went to NXT first since this would have been a non-issue but guess WWE really wanted Maria that much to include a "No NXT time" in their deal.

He's been used sporadically but his gimmick is pretty much dead without Maria and without a direction for it.

Slater is so underrated don't get me wrong he's great in the role he's in I'm just saying I think he should get even more exposure.

I heard something about a tag team. I thought it might be Gallows & Anderson, but worried that it might be Harper & Rowan. Slater & Rhyno going would not be a huge surprise. Rhyno's having a bit of a feel-good run at the moment. I'm sure he's made his money and has had the time of his life. Heath Slater is a bit sadder for me, because I do think he is a damn good worker who didn't have to go to excess in order to eventually get over. I feel like the indies wouldn't be as kind to him, as hilarious as it would be to see a bad-ass Heath Miller in New Japan.

According to the Observer, Emma's release and others seem to be leaning towards being sudden decisions by the WWE and not something planned out in advance (ex. Spring Cleaning). Also doesn't think this was done for budget cutting reasons or to make room for Ronda's expected deal.

The booking of both Asuka-Emma matches makes him lean towards this being a spur of the moment decision by the WWE. Same for Emma's response to being released.

This is going to sound like I'm shitting on the guy, but I hope Heath gets released. It did wonders for the other members of 3MB, with Jinder and McIntyre returning to championship pushes. Take time away, freshen up, and come back in a couple years without so much of the comedy act jobber stink; maybe in a badass heel sneak attack on some popular babyface champion. Let him get wins, put the freaking guy over way more than they have him counting lights, and give him a bit of a serious edge.
