Just did the Weekly Strike by myself. Must have took 2 hours. I died a lot during Darkness Zones.

Finishing that also cleared my special bounty from the Warlock lady for an exotic Shotgun. It was the third in a trilogy of bounties she wanted me to finish. I also had a normal bounty on that particular Strike. Got a lot done.

Staying away from Crucible until I unlock/scavenge some exotic/legendary gear. Vanguard jobs for me. Might even solo a strike like Kalyx and see if I get lucky.

That and auto rifles seem to be the only way to go when in Crucible. Scouts and Pulse rifles are a no no. Unless you get gear that unlocks 'em for full auto fire.

Farming Exploit (if you consider using the checkpoint feature as an exploit I guess).

I don't play this game so not sure how viable it is. In reading various sites it seems to be incredibly helpful with the majority of players saying they are "in purples" after 2-3 days. If "purple" is any indicator of most loot-based games, it is a good thing.

Got my first purple orb to drop today. Only for it to turn into blue armor I don't need.

I'd maybe turn the drop rate up on those a few notches. I get better luck playing diablo and getting a few legendary items to drop each playthrough.

Well in terms of story it's more or less a primer of the lore while preparing you for the grinds that are better done with people. I play alone a lot doing Strikes and daily Story mission bonus XP offerings.

It is tough getting buds in league. Figgy and Alva and some other trusted guys are on X1. Me and Khuntry have to take turns on the thing. It's a mix of it being a social game coming out on a big console transition period. Pretty the same with Battlefield and I imagine GTA Online on next gen will further splinter things.

much like Titanfall, the single player/story takes a huge backseat to the MP aspects of the game. That's not to say Destiny's story is terrible, or Titanfalls...its just that, you'll find yourself paying little attention to the dots, let alone take the time to connect them, when there's so much MP distraction going on.

Despite the mixed reviews, Im loving this game more than anticipated, but I do wish Bungie went a little further in explaining some bits and pieces

Arcblade Super is really fun, but I don't like having to give up my throwing knife for it. Plus, the Golden Gun suits my Scout Rifle play style better.

Gonna open up some of the fun perks in Arc Blade, like the cloaking, but right now, it looks like I may stick to Gunslinger, rather than continue with the Blade Dancer class.

Feel like you should get more rep for doing patrol missions given by your faction. Even if it's just 5 or 10 more.

How do you do strikes solo btw?

Everytime I choose a strike it automatically sends me to matchmaking.

Gave crucible a try again since I'm level 20 now. Came out middle of the pack, so definitely better than my horrid last place level 6 attempt. Advise everyone to wait til you are level 20 and have some good gear to tackle crucible.

The Daily/Weekly Strikes are solo, I believe. Picking them off the map has matchmaking. This is strange, since the special offerings are notably harder than the default ones.

Honestly, I only have one shader atm, and I like it better than any of those. Matches my FWC cloak for one thing.

Played a match crucible control match today. Team lost, but I was top guy on the team. Post game rewards, I get nothing, 2nd best player on my team gets an exotic sniper rifle.

The Attack rating of weapons are disabled. The perks you unlock are functional, however. So if your gun has explosive rounds or can reload faster after a kill; that works. Legendary/Exotic weapons have very strong perks so in that sense the higher level will have some tricks up their sleeve, but you can rail them nonetheless.

Your defense rating is also non-point in PvP, what matters is the attributes you set on your subclass.

Hope that helps. I've had some of the best FPS matches in my life in this game. I love how it flows. Gotta keep your abilities in mind.
