I really hope Rousey's not ACTUALLY full-time. Don't make her just another part of the roster. As much as people bitch about part-timers, it's the only way WWE can keep people feeling somewhat special.
Can you imagine if they had Lesnar at their disposal weekly? Just doing the same pointless tag matches every week like everyone else and losing via interference once in a while to the shock of the commentators? Yeah... |

It's still not like they're low on guys on the roster. I mean... they could have put Mojo in the Rumble. What about that Ziggler appearance made it so necessary?

Put her in the PC for weeks at a time to polish up, she can promo/Backstage segment frequently, then yeah start putting her in rotation. Not like she’s a noob to being in front of a large crowd.

but it's funny, they have Lesnar part time and they've managed to make his schtick old already. honestly once he started feuding with Somoa Joe and Kane and even Braun, I felt like his value went down. I loved the AJ match though. |

Yeah, I'm not really feeling Lesnar as much as I used to. Started around the time of the Ambrose feud for me. I think part of it is they just ran out of guys who are over enough to be worthy of facing Lesnar. So in the process of trying to bring young guys up simply by letting them face Lesnar it brought his mystique down.

I had a great time watching the event last evening. Both the Rumbles exceeded my expectations with the Nakamura victory bringing pure joy to my heart. If I were to nitpick, the placement of the RAW Tag Team Championship match did a disservice to someone as prominent as Seth Rollins. The 2 straight falls for the Usos was a bit underwhelming, and Lesnar retaliating with a punch took me out of the match. Mostly because my friend was genuinely scared by the whole ordeal (he's still new to the world of professional wrestling). Ronda's introduction was pretty cool, I had goosebumps. Overall, I don't have much to complain. I had a great time

Lesnar's first year back was really terrible come to think......
Loses to Cena in his first match back. Great match but an outcome that made him look like just another schmuck. Beats Triple H in his second match and it pretty much sucked. His first Mania back he gives his win right back to Triple H. Another shitty match that looked even worse coming after an amazing Punk/Taker match. I was at this show live and I nearly fell asleep during HHH/Lesnar. Honestly when he went over Taker a year later all I could think was "really?" because to me, I'd already labeled Brock as just another dude by that point and thought him being the one to end the streak was a wet fart. It wasn't until he murdered Cena at SummerSlam '14 that he started to really feel different. |

Cena redeemed himself by doing such a clean job to Brock as SS. But him and HHH are the prime offenders in making guys seem like "just another guy". Cena, at the very least stopped doing that now that he wants to transition out of his in ring career, but HHH STILL DOES THAT at like 80 years old, which blows me away. I blame Stephanie. And KENTA.

Triple H and Bryan tore the house down at WM20. I would've been more than happy having that moment double down as Hunter's retirement.
Instead, I think that match had him convinced he could work a 20 minute "epic" at Mania every year....and we wound up with 3 absolute slogs as a result. I hope the rumors are true of it being him and Steph vs. Rock and Rousey, because I really can't bear the thought of another HHH singles match. Also it'd be nice if Rock's last official WWE match wasn't against Erick cunting Rowan. |

That being said, I'd love to voice my displeasure for the Hunter-Lesnar trilogy of matches. Their first meeting at SummerSlam should've been good enough but I guess the reaction at the end of the match might've ruined what they were going for. Hunter beating Lesnar at Mania in their No Holds Barred showdown genuinely broke my heart as it was followed with Cena defeating The Rock for the WWE Championship. The rubber "steel cage" match where Lesnar got his win back seemed very inconsequential.

And while folks credit Cena for making Lesnar look like a monster at SummerSlam, Lesnar started acting like a "chicken-shit" heel going into their title rematch at Night of Champions.

I'd be fine with that if WWE could find a good middleground and not overexpose her just because they have constant access to her. I have no faith they can do that though. I'd prefer they let her work dark matches and house shows while letting her TV matches and appearances be meaningful.

She'll be going 50/50 with Bailey in no time.
I'd treat her like Chyna, but without the run in the men's division. Have her as a dude's muscle, and guys be unsure they can hit her, and she just judo flips them and shit. Then eventually have it trickle down into a run with the women's title. |

• I found the Men's Royal Rumble Match to be a bit "meh".
It's cool Nakamura won, I guess. I've never really been all that keen on him to be honest. I don't "get him". At times, I find him to be a bit irritating with his mannerisms and all that. When it was just Nakamura and Reigns, you could tell it was Triple H's guy against Vince's guy, and when it was down to two, I knew Nakamura was going to win and choose to face Styles, because Nakamura/Styles at WrestleMania for the WWE Championship is pretty much every IWC member's wet dream. The Hurricane was a pleasant surprise as was Mysterio. Both surprises surprised me when it came to their appearance. Hurricane has let himself go a bit and Mysterio looks better than ever. Even though I'm not really a Nakamura fan, I will say that him winning was the right call and with the last elimination being Reigns, the Raw guy, this just opens up Reigns/Lesnar at WrestleMania. Either Reigns will demand the match claiming that he should face Lesnar because he was the last Raw guy in the Royal Rumble Match and be given it, or Reigns demands the match but so do other people so they all face each other in an Elimination Chamber match next month which Reigns wins. Also, how bad was Ziggler's return? Nobody seemed to care. It probably would have helped if he didn't have that stupid record scratch noise before his theme, then maybe people would have known who it was and given a better reaction. When I heard it, I thought "Who the hell is that?" then his theme played and I thought "Oh, it's Ziggler. Cool". • The Women's Royal Rumble Match surprised me. I actually enjoyed it. However, I think having 30 entrants for women is a bit too much as a good chunk of entrants were past wrestlers, which was fun for the nostalgia trip but it just showed how little the pool is when it comes to women. Speaking of nostalgia trips however, the biggest surprise of the entire night for me was Molly Holly. I've always been a big fan of hers. It was also really good to see Beth Phoenix back in the ring too. Still looking as hot as ever. No Kaitlyn though, but there's always next year. Most of the nostalgia entrants would have gotten a bigger reaction from the crowd and would have been a bigger surprise to me if we hadn't just seen them on Monday. Torrie Wilson was a good surprise but when McCool came out, I was just waiting for Kelly Kelly, Jacqueline, The Bellas and Trish. I knew Trish would be last as "saving the best 'till last" and all that. Another nice surprise was Vickie Guerrero. Back to the match itself though and I was actually really wanting Nia to win and I actually thought there was a chance for her but after her elimination, I was pretty sure it was going to be Asuka or Banks and I was praying to the Gods of every religion that it wasn't going to be Banks. The ending was a bit flat however. The first ever Women's Royal Rumble Match ends with a big kick to the shins and a bad jump. The end of the PPV itself though was another thing. We've just had the first ever Women's Royal Rumble Match. Something that's taken thirty years to happen and the winner and the match itself gets overshadowed by Stephanie and her best bud, Ronda Rousey. That clearly could have waited one more night and taken place on Raw. She also could have sold Ronda's "surprise appearance" a bit better. Cole: Stephanie! What do you know about this!? Stephanie: I'm speechless, Cole. It reminded me of Todd Grisham's reaction to Christian's return in 2009. "It's, it's Christian. " Anyway, part of me just can't help but think that the Women's Royal Rumble took place and as the main event just so that Stephanie and Ronda could get all the attention. I also do think equality played a part in it too though. I'd say 52% - Stephanie/Ronda and 48% - Equality. |

Can't wait to see Styles and Nakamura in the opening match at Wrestlemania 34. Also Ziggler's return might have meant something if he'd been gone for more than three weeks. |

Styles vs. Nakamura will be hot shit at Mania. People will be buzzing about Nak, and it feels fairly safe that he'll be winning the belt, so good for him.

Interesting to see what happens with Styles after Mania. He seems like a good tentpole player for SmackDown, but it also feels like he might get "promoted." Reigns vs. Styles coming out of Mania, Styles vs. Brock, Styles vs. Joe and Styles vs. Balor are all pretty exciting match-ups. Moving Styles freshens things with the least moves possible.
