I actually thought Smackdown was really good this week. It was nice to have it all based around the US title, and I thought that the matches were really good too. Impressive showings from Jinder and Mojo.

Also, I thought Mixed Match Challenge would be a show with more than one match and not just what was basically a televised dark match, however, I'm not complaining though as it was actually good.
I had a feeling Natalya/Nakamura would lose, as the only person in that ring that wouldn't be hurt by taking a fall was Natalya and also that she was the only heel in the match. I will say how happy I am though to see Beth Phoenix back and there must be something in the water at WWE, as just like Lita and Trish Stratus, Beth has gotten even more attractive with age. |

I'm legitimately laughing at Goldust beating the three cruiserweights.
I can't say it's the...wrong decision, at this point. Just end the experiment, fire most (all?) of them, help indy wrestling and do a CWC on TV sometime. Cruiserweights were never going to work in the WWE, folks. Take it from the world's biggest Paul London mark from about 2004-2007. CWC worked because it existed away from it. A Cruiserweight Division, full-time, was always going to lend comparisons to the heavyweights that are actually cruiserweights anyway. |

WCW-class cruiserweights on the main roster:
* Aiden English * AJ Styles * Chad Gable * Chris Jericho * Curt Hawkins * Curtis Axel * Dolph Ziggler * Elias * Epico Colon * Daniel Bryan * Dash Wilder * Dean Ambrose * Finn Balor * Heath Slater * Jeff Hardy * Jey Uso * Jimmy Uso * Karl Anderson * Kofi Kingston * Kurt Angle * Mike Kanellis * The Miz * Primo Colon * R-Truth * Sami Zayn * Samir Singh * Scott Dawson * Seth Rollins * Shane McMahon * Shinsuke Nakamura * Sin Cara * Sunil Singh * Tye Dillinger * Tyler Breeze * Viktor * Xavier Woods * Zack Ryder Actually makes for a pretty decent roster. |

Sadly, I agree. The CWC worked because it felt absolutely nothing like WWE.

According to Wikipedia, WCW's limit was 220 lbs.

Maybe?
Nah just joking. WCW having theirs in the 220s range seemed about right considering WWE used to be around the same before making a big deal with the current 205 era. |

Apparently it was 215 lbs. Can't find the videos of Hardy training to lose weight with Shannon Moore making fun of him at times I think.

Wasn't there an episode of Sunday Night Heat where someone (forgot who) spent the whole show trying to get under the weight limit to get a title shot?

All the sources I am finding says that, but I could have sworn it was 230lbs. Could have sworn the WWF's Light Heavyweight was 225lbs too. When WWE got the Cruiserweight Title, they changed it to 220lbs. I remember that was the weight Matt was trying to reach.

225 definitely sounds like the WWE limit. I don't really recall WCW mentioning the actual weight at all. Which was probably smart.

And I don't know if they included the weight of Super Calo's hat and sunglasses or not.

I don't think it matters, because I don't think anyone other than Matt Hardy ever held it at above 215lbs, and they were worked weights then anyway.

Matt Hardy did an angle over SmackDown. I do remember Crash Holly had the Light Heavyweight Title. It is possible that they did that angle to get him the title shot. And this was over a period of time where they were doing changes on Heat a fair bit. I think Jerry Lynn won it on his first match on Heat.
