Cause we've never seen threads carry on with two posters rambling. Nope, not in TPWW. It's practically a university in here.

Ugh. Giant dial-a-combos.
Definitely not going online against randoms with this. |

It's not as dial a comboish as MK, but it's definitely combo happy. Some moves just have less recovery and srk types are going to be playing this all day every day and figure them all out.
You played TvC? It's pretty combo happy too. Like I tried Ryu first thing and you can chain some impossible shit together really easily. |

This is way more open than dial-a-combos. Trust me it's more creative and fun.

Really hope Howard isn't in this. DLC would be fine, but on-disc roster?
Really? Waiting still for the Frank West announcement. Still bummed they CONFIRMED Ghost Rider not being playable. Seriously, they went right for my heart with that one. |

I read what the license card is for over on Eventhubs and, what it boils down to for me, is helping people "counter pick".
My license card says I like to pick Haggar, Spencer and Tron and am weak against advance attacks? Now you know to pick Zero, Dante and Trish and combo the hell out of me. |

I don't think it will show the liscense card before before matches or anything like that.

That sounds like you can look at the card before the fight to me but, then again, it could be shown after characters have been chosen. That would stop it being used to help "counter picks" I'm not saying it's a bad idea or anything. Just that random people online are going to use it to see who you use most and what kind of player you are so they know right away who they should pick. This could lead to another "everyone you play online picks Ryu" situation but this time everyone will pick whatever team your best team is worst against. |

I don't think that's enough information to make accurate counter-picks with. Seeing my favorite team, three characters out of the whole roster, is at best a clue as to who you might face. And even if I pick that team, what are the chances they'll know how to approach how I play that team? And this game looks more balanced than MvC2 anyway.
I don't see an issue. |

You know what would be cooler? Mega Man gets an ability from the character he KOs in a match. Something like XvSF Rogue's ability and Mega Man's variable buster ability put together.

Based on an interview on Capcom's Unity blog website, no chance at a MvC 3 demo being released before the game comes out.
It would be similar to how Street Fighter IV and SSFIV didn't get a demo. |

Why not put out a demo though? Get as many people who are waffling about it as you can.

The public demos at tournaments and fight clubs seem to do that, I guess. IN a perfect world every game would have a demo build, like XBLA games.

Not saying it won't be incredible, but some people are treating this as the second coming or some shit. Once they play the game, it cannot live up to their stupid expectations. |

I would like to see marvel vs capcom in the SSFIV engine. I like that a lot more than the MvC games.
Would be awesome if they got 1 or 2 of the marvel characters as DLC for SSFIV AE. Or at least a capcom character like Dante. No chance though. |

Honestly, the only fighting game that let me down since they bounced back mainstream was KoF12. Other than that I've been treated well by this genre.

Never got into CvS2 because I had that shitty gamecube version. I have a PS2 now, so I should hit up a gamestop and get the good version.

Gotta say, the differences between the PS2/XB and the GCN ports are exaggerated. I played the GCN one and the tweaks didn't really register enough to cause alarm. And I like the roll cancel patch, though that wasn't anything we dealt with way back when (I play with upstanding people).

Oh well I agree there. That pad was absurd. Great for Soulcalibur 2, though. Somehow.
