If there was a wrestler I'd want to meet, it's DDP. An old rugby buddy who was training to be a wrestler said he met him and drank with him, and apparently as well as being shameless self-promoter, he's just fucking awesome.

I’m surprised Cactus Jack got so few votes.

Too late to vote but definetely Mankind. And I guess it's mostly because that's when I was actually watching. In German, but still.

He was my favorite wrestler throughout the 90s, I read his book like zealots read the Bible or Quran. I may have watched every taped match of his career.
He wasn't "just" a person, he was a really cool person. HIAC is the only reason I looked at Undertaker as more than a cartoon character, the reason I started taking Rock seriously (Rock and Austin proved he was a star, his matches with Mankind made him seem dangerous), and the only reason I can take HHH seriously is because of his fued with Foley. |

Foley would say Cactus cause he owns Cactus, but it is easily Mankind. He had the nice final run as Cactus, and once upon a time a decent WCW run against Vader and Sting, and cut some great promos in ECW, but Mankind had the depth, Mankind won the titles, Mankind had the great stories, and Mankind had the most range.
I would argue Cactus and Dude in WWE are basically equal, both did some good stuff, but my vote is Mankind, no contest. |

In my opinion, Foley was one of the best carpenters of the Attitude era, and possibly of all-time. He was a great opponent for Austin, Shawn Michaels, Rock, HHH and Undertaker. Not many people can boast that versatility. I think that his influence in the WWF's late 90s success is understated by the company and even by himself. He's only behind Austin, Rock, Vince and maybe JR in terms of getting that shit over. The company will put Undertaker and HHH before Foley, and that's just not true. |

Foley definitely had a better relationship with the fans than Taker during the attitude era. HHH can always cite DX, I guess, even though he was the uncool one

I wonder if he knows that, or if he genuinely believes his own retroactive hype machine?

I'm a Cactus Jack fan. The body of work he did with that role was awesome.
