1) The creator of both Deadly Premonition and D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, Swery65, announced he is taking a break from game development with the official reason related to a diabetes-like illness.

3) Even though the real reason was due more to Rockstar, UK's Advertising Standards Authority recently ruled Valve purposely mislead consumers during the last Steam Summer Sale in regards to the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V. According to the ASA, Valve failed to inform consumers about the game itself being pulled prior to the sale and the 25% discount being way lower due to price shenanigans.

Weekend News Edition:
The co-founder of Dontnod studio accidentally revealed a sequel to Life is Strange is in development (or will be very soon). The interview with French website Alchimy was later edited to remove the leak once the studio realized what happened and/or was said by accident.

Another interview by the co-director with Polygon revealed the sequel would likely involve a new cast of characters.

Think last year had several pre-BF deals but this year seems like retailers with digital stores finally realized there was no real reason to actually wait till Black Friday itself to hold their mega sale or sales.

They can hold a bunch of smaller BF type sales or just a long BF sale during the same time stores like Gamestop or Best Buy are waiting to officially hold their own game sales.

Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball 3 isn't coming to US or UK because the devs or publishers or whoever are apparently afraid of feminism.

Not that I would...you know.....know about those games....or anything. Ahem.
