Last round before the inevitable. I feel like Hart vs Heyman actually would have been a decent matchup but this is how things worked out.

Yeah, seeding no longer matters at this point. I urge everyone to pity vote away.

I think a case could be made for Bearer over Heyman. I'm not gonna make it... but I feel like someone could.

Paul is Iconic but Bobby was everything that made wrestling fun for me. In his era there was no one else who could touch him and quite frankly as far as the obvious showdown goes I think Paul Heyman would vote for Bobby as well.

I pitched that idea. Ultimately though, it seems silly to leave out the obvious winner. The journey would have been the same just with one less predictable matchup. If I'm gonna do one these regularly, we've gotta give Heenan his "best manager" win. Makes everything legit.

I voted for THE MOUTH OF THE SOUTH.
Because I can. So what? Wanna fight about it? |

Bearer is a classic for me, so I went with him....Heenan is one of the best of all time, without a doubt.

Had a tougher time thinking about who'd I pick for a hypothetical 3rd place match than the semi-finals matches themselves.

We'll have one. I was planning on having the guy with the most votes overall be considered the bronze winner anyway. Might as well do a matchup for it.

I'm not sure who would win between Bearer and Hart. It'll be close.

Hard to vote against the man who made "Lance Russel's nose" but it's Bobby Heenan. I'd vote him over Paul Bearer since Paul only managed a few in the real deal of the WWE.

Taker, Kane, Mankind and Vader is a pretty good resume.

On the flip side, I'm surprised Bearer and Heyman are so close, maybe I shouldn't be. Thought this would be a cakewalk to the inevitable final...

Cornette under-performing is the real surprise of this tournament to me.

I think the general consensus with the IWC has always been that Heyman and Cornette were neck and neck for 2 and 3.
Cornette actually only faced Hart last round because his seeding had dropped thanks to under-performing in the earlier rounds. I think he was like 5th and Hart was 4th. |

Yeah, definitely this. I think people are butt-hurt because they don't like the logic he continuously fucks them with. Most sane places you go have Heenan as undisputed #1 with Cornette and Heyman alternating between #2 and #3, depending almost entirely on your subjective opinion. I think this is generally agreed upon by the performers themselves as well. Jimmy Hart is not my cup of tea, and he is a legend, but I honestly think he's "the best of the rest."
