Animal threw his back out in the early 90s and retired. Hawk went solo for...3ish years (give or take)


Hawk, imo, was much better. much more explosive...always felt if Hawk had a better partner LoD would have been a much bigger deal...Hawk had someone who could sell and let Hawk do the hot tag...dunno.

Anyway Hawk gets my vote. Animal was a meat and potatoes brawler type guy, Hawk was more versatile in what he was able to do.

I think Animal needed a Hawk a lot more than Hawk needed an Animal.

Voted Hawk, although I have fond memories of marking out every time Animal hit his spinning power slam on the hot tag.

Think there was a reason Animal was always the hot tag guy and Hawk took the brunt of the beatings.

Hawk was a better worker, better promo, much taller, cooler looking body, if the right guy would've gone down on top he could've been a main guy any time in his career up until about 93.

In fact, Hawk is probably gonna lose the next round no matter what but he's actually pretty underrated. It's not exactly UNFORTUNATE that he'll always just be considered "half-a-wrestler" because he happened to just be half of the greatest tag team ever. But for the purposes of a better wrestler competition, it's pretty unfortunate.
