Wasn't there some other girl called Carmella a few years back in WWE? Think she was a diva search contestant, maybe got a job briefly before being released...or am I imagining shit?

I assume he has the best chance of anybody on the "current" roster to be DLC.

Meh, mine took like 5 minutes to come up with and doesn't include too many legends. I could give less of a shit about legends, I've always wanted to have as many current people in as possible. Also I can't be bothered to try and figure out who will be in the Austin showcase given that there hasn't been much info as to what time period it will cover (if it's just the Attitude Era again or meant to be more of a full-career perspective.
Still waiting for it to turn out that the 120 figure was fine print in some way...locked on-disc DLC is the safe bet. The best was still SVR08 where they hyped up having 75 characters in game (which would have been a record at the time for playable characters) only for it to turn out that it was like 50 playable wrestlers and 25 NPC. And THQ were all like "Hey, we said 75 CHARACTERS. We never said they'd all be playable." Like...how on earth did they NOT think people were going to misinterpret that? lol. |

Features are still the most important, though. At minimum they need to bring back all the shit they took out last year. Most of the match types taken out last year had no real reason to be removed. Also bring back the triple threat tag team matches, we haven't had those in the game in years even though it's just 6 dudes on screen fighting like a bunch of other modes.
And have My Career mode not have a ludicrous ending that basically punishes you for winning the belt quickly. |

Probably. They would have removed Punk if he wasn't a part of the main mode.

I really don't care about 2K16.
Something really big has to happen for me to want to go out and buy it. There was a time where I'd really look forward to the next WWE game and I'd pre-order it ASAP and then once I had it, I would play the hell out of that game. Then around SVR10 I began to find myself not enjoying the games like I used to, and then it got to the point where I couldn't be arsed playing the game at all. I got the special edition of 2K14 and I've only ever played it once or twice, and for the first time, I felt like I had wasted my money on a WWE game. Then when it came to 2K15, I didn't buy it at all and it was the first WWE game I've ever missed since I began buying them on release day every year since WWF WarZone. I've never played 2K15 and I don't think I ever will. I really don't care as such about who's on the cover, or who's on the roster. What I do care about is gameplay. Unlike most people, I don't want a "realistic" wrestling game. To me, a realistic wrestling game is slow and sluggish. I want better AI in a wrestling game. The AI in the previous games have been pretty bad. I want a challenge. I don't want my opponent to franticly punch a ladder when I'm climbing it, only because he's at a certain area next to the ladder, and then just stand there and watch me win as the AI has run out of options and is too stupid to think to either climb the ladder and knock me off or to simply just push the ladder. I know it's a rare thing in this day and age, but I want a wrestling game that isn't infested with glitches. I don't want to hit my opponent with a chair, only for it to stick to his head and then freak out. Or for me to scoop slam my opponent, and then see him fall through the ring and then fly on his back through the crowd to an area of darkness. I can't help but think that most game designers are lazy these days because they know that if someone finds a problem, it can be solved with a simple patch or DLC. Before companies could do all that, it was actually pretty rare to have a game as glitchy as some are now. It's like they half-heartedly make the game and think "Meh, I can't be arsed. If there's a problem, we'll just patch it." or "Don't add that to the game. We'll have that as DLC. More money that way". I don't want to have to pay and download the majority of a game that I've already paid for. But like Disturbed, I don't get why Austin is on the cover. All that says to me is "We've ran out of ideas, so here's a bunch of old wrestlers to play as". That is one thing I really didn't like about previous games. The main focus on the past. Like WWE '13. If I wanted to play a game that's about the Attitude Era, I'd play a game from the Attitude Era. I don't want to be able to play as Attitude Era Kane or Shawn Michaels from 1995, in a game released in 2015. |

No Mercy 2! How hard is it?!
Replicate No Mercy as closely as possible with all the sparkle and shine modern consoles offer, along with online and improved CAW. Job done, have my £40. |

We were close to getting "No Mercy 2" in 2001, as Backlash, but it got cancelled just as work started on it, as focus moved away from N64 to Gamecube.

As bad as 2K15 is, nothing will touch the level of steaming shit that is WWE WrestleMania 21 on XBox. I think if they could've had a dev kit to maje it for 360 and just waited a few months and polished a bunch of stuff and worked out all the physics, geometry and other problems, it wouldn't be SO horrible.
Quite possibly the only playable game on XBox branded WWE was RAW 2. |

Rubbish, the Day of Reckoning titles were heading in the right direction. A third one would have really nailed it. Even Wrestlemania XIX was fun in a weird "throw construction workers to their deaths" sort of way.
Wrestlemania X8 was fucking terrible though. |

I just think the Showcase mode is pish, I'd rather they just did away with it and either add the unlockables to an improved Universe Mode or My Career, anything to add replay to it.

DoR2 was the best wrestling game for a long while. Then came HctP, which shut shit down for another long while. 2011, for me, lit a fire under my ass. So many good ideas.

DoR2's combat engine probably came closest to making matches look authentic even when players are playing to win. It also introduced me to A Dark Halo. The model style meant CAWs looked right in tune with the default roster. You had to mash to pick up wrestlers much larger than you. Way before we were able to use our own music, it had original themes that were actually good.
I know it had a 'gumby' quality from the outside looking in but believe me DoR2 was fucking amazing. Also had one of the most outlandish story modes ever. |

Supposedly the Austin Showcase is going to highlight "Stone Cold's entire 5 year WWE career". Seems odd since he was in WWE for over 7 years but I guess he did miss a whole year to neck surgery plus a whole bunch of time when he "took his ball and went home".
I assume it'd start at KOTR 1996. Feel like they'd need to skip a whole bunch of big storylines for him though without Owen Hart or Kurt Angle being in the game. Plus a huge chunk of the mode is gonna be a total rehash of shit we already played in WWE 13. |

So once again, we're going to have the same-old old wrestlers on the roster that have already been in several games before it.
If it's five years of Austin's career, all I can think of are Jake Roberts, Bret Hart, "Attitude Era Undertaker", "The Rock 97", Shawn Michaels, Vince McMahon, "Attitude Era Kane", Paul Wight, Rikishi, Booker T and The n.W.o. Although, 2K have made it clear that the game is going to have "Over 120 unique models", which rules out "Attitude Era Undertaker", "The Rock 97" and "Attitude Era Kane", but I can see them being sneaky and having Big Show under the name he debuted with, Paul Wight. |

It would be impossible to promise both an authentic recreation of past eras while also avoiding past versions of wrestlers. And therein lies the gambit of 'unique models vs legend themed games'. You really can't have it both.
And it's not as simple as having one wrestler with different legacy attire as wrestlers often look vastly different depending on the era, including varying physique and hair style both requiring different in-game models. I agree with some of you guys said years ago that they should make full blown 80s Era, Attitude Era, ECW, and WCW games (or realistically DLC expansions). Let the base game be about the current roster. |

There's no way they're not counting older versions of Rock, Jericho, Hogan, Show, etc. as "Unique character models".

History dictates that this game won't be good either. This franchise hasn't been established long enough to be tight-lipped about features and talk about just roster. This isn't NBA, the WWE game has more involved than just roster. We need features, customization, creative freedom, etc.
