For patrols, yeah. Strikes and Missions can stay three.

And everybody should be able to get cool stuff if they rank up on him. I think I'm 16 now.

Working on my fourth exotic (technically fifth but the last one was a shotgun I already had, broke it down). So that's 2 exotics I'm doing; one demands 25(!) Strikes, the other wants 500 points of Void damage (whatever that means).

With all the hoopla about the game's reward system I'd say I've gotten more yellow opportunities than most.

Pretty sure you're a minority.

It doesn't really bother me tbh. if it was easy to get legendaries and exotics, and hit level 30, we'd all be done with the game already.

That said, I don't see the point in getting white items from purple engrams.

Bungie claimed it was to give the Cryptarch "personality". The next update will keep remove surprises from that front.

2 exotic weapons today and picked up another exotic weapon bounty. Got my 100 Crucible marks with 30 minutes to spare.

I call it a good Saturday.

Kalyx, picked up the Tolbert's Legacy bounty, too. 25 strikes look like no problem. Back burner job until Queen's Wrath is over and done with.

Piece of cake, Figs. Soloed it today.

Secret is in those rocks when you drop down in the arena, all way to the right it tucks into an alcove. You're pretty much protected.

Drawback is, when that robot is down to a little bit of life left, those blasts he shoots get stronger and you start taking splash damage. Gotta make every sniper rifle shot count and you should make it out alive. Helps with with a partner to the left of ya a little higher up drawing the fire and doing crowd control, and you doing the sniping

A bug in Destiny has reportedly revealed the names of several strikes and missions, along with their descriptions, that are set to be introduced with the game’s future expansions.

According to the video below by YouTube user “Scott M” that show the bug, the game’s two expansions (The Dark Below and House of Wolves) will add at least four new strikes and two raids, along with several story missions. There’s also a Crucible event that appears to take the form of a tournament, with players earning greater rewards for stringing together wins, but being kicked out if they lose three times.

Bungie currently denying speculations regarding upcoming DLC packs being based on content found on-disc. Had to make a statement after a recent bug found a bunch of hidden stuff on-disc which was speculated to be for future DLC packs.

Patch came out today. Big news out of it is that Purple engrams guarantee you legendary and exotic gear. Blue engrams guarantee you Rare or Legendary gear, but the legendary chance has been kicked up a few notches. No more getting lower grade crap!

Summary:
With this patch, we address some widely-discussed concerns with how Engrams are earned and claimed. Strikes have become more rewarding, and the rewards gained from them are more predictable. Also affected is the rotation of maps that appear in the Crucible.


Cryptarch
  • Legendary (purple) engrams will always produce a Legendary quality item or higher
    • Note: Legendary engrams that exist in your inventory will change to Rare quality items when the patch is applied. However, decoding these engrams will still produce the same results as before
  • Rare (blue) engrams will always produce a Rare quality item or higher
    • Chance for Legendary gear increased
  • Materials: Ascendant Shards and Ascendant Energy promoted to Legendary quality (from Rare quality)



Rewards
  • Rare (Blue) and Legendary (Purple) Engram drops added to the potential rewards for:
    • Vanguard: Tiger Strike Playlist
    • Daily Heroic Missions (first time per day)
    • Weekly Heroic Missions (first time per week)
  • Known issues
    • When selecting a higher difficulty for daily missions, XP Bonus not show in the reward display
    • You will still get the XP bonus, you just won't see it in the UI


Crucible
  • Reduced time limit on Bastion and First Light in Control and Clash from 15 to 12 minutes, bringing them in line with non-vehicle maps in those playlists
  • Lowered weighting on Bastion and First Light in Control and Clash so they appear less often in those playlists

Finally got some purple gear. I swear I was the only lvl 24 with NO purple, then in the span of one night with a couple buddies I grabbed one off an engram, and two pieces of the queen's armor.

Good day for me.

Finally beat that level 24 Venus Strike Mission. With a third person and my blade dancer class, it wasn't even hard. Didn't die even once, which progressed my exotic bounty.

Also, got my 13th strange coin, so I was able to buy an exotic armor. Not as cool looking as the one he had last week, but whatevs.

Gotta get more bounties so I can hit level 3 at FWC and start getting rewards.

Hey guys I just dont get it, need someone to give me some advice.

I beat the game, I did a ton of PVP and got rank 2 vanguard and bought a few purple armor pieces. I did a few queens missions and got the rest. Armor all purple. Heavy is a purple drop I picked up randomly, and then blue weapons I randomly got.

So I am rank 2 Crucible. Rank 1 Vanguard. Rank 1 Queen. I log in and do the heroic daily everyday and have dont the weekly strike 2 times on 24 and 26 skill levels with my friends. I have 20 Strange coins and 21 motes of light.

How have I never seen an exotic bounty? And I havent gotten a purple drop outside of the queens missions. What am I doing wrong? I do around 20 bounties a week at least. What should I be doing?

Also should I risk buying a exotic engram from XUr? is there a chance it wont be my class?
