Lita was the best when working with Trish Stratus.
John Morrison was best when working with The Miz. Apart from those two, I feel like both these rasslers were just kind of "around".... Lita definitely reached higher heights of importance and stuff with managing Hardys/Edge/Kane...... I personally didn't find her very entertaining, but I know that obviously other people did....... John Morrison kind of floundered for a long time, but I remember thinking he was "just heating up" before he left..... I think he had a good feud or match with Sheamus or something.... Which was the first time outside of a feud/team with The Miz that he was interesting..... I will just go ahead and throw my vote behind Lita mainly because she just had the spotlight for longer, and JoMo left before he could really get a big chance to shine........ Not really a Lita fan, though. |

Morrison's matches with Jeff Hardy, CM Punk and Rey Mysterio were better than any match Lita has ever been in

I remember when Morrison had a Jeff Hardy-like streak of PPV stealing matches in a row.

I remember Morrison having some real good ones with Sheamus, but not with any of those other people.......

They were both at about the same time of year. I think they started at Survivor Series and lasted until around the Royal Rumble or the February PPV. I think Hardy's stretch was from 2007-2008 and Morrison's came around 2010-2011 with Sheamus. I had honestly forgotten that Sheamus was the "other guy."

I thoroughly enjoyed CM Punk vs. John Morrison at the time. I haven't revisited that in a while though.

Punk and Morrison? It was literally the first thing John Morrison ever did as John Morrison.

Well, he probably had squash matches where he introduced the Moonlight Drive, but his first program was with Punk because he had won the ECW Title to become Morrison.

Oh yeah.
Didn't really watch ECW, but I didn't really like CM Punk back then so I wasn't motivated to check out that feud. |

They were a pretty good string of matches. I remember that's when Morrison first did Starship Pain as a "missed move" spot. I was fucking amazed at the time.

Morrison going over Punk when Benoit died was a huge mistake. ECW brand would have been much diferent had they put the brand behind punk. Doubtful we'd have NXT now.

I dunno about that. They eventually did put the brand behind Punk and it didn't help.

Nitro was a questionable choice for champion, but I can understand why they did it. They wanted to give Punk a chase and Nitro was the most decorated person on the roster that wasn't Benoit. They were already fucking up big time with the brand.

Were people still watching by the time we got to Vengeance: Night of Champions? Genuine question. I find that surprising.

This one was actually kind of hard for me. Lita had a more lasting impact because of people around her and in ring she was just a glorified spot monkey. Shes a female Jeff Hardy with less charisma and ability. But she was a part of a lot of big angles and she did fill a niche that I don't know if any other female wrestler has yet.
John Morrison could have been so much bigger. He was decent in the ring and once he went solo and made the turn into Morrison, he was waaaay better. I remember kinda being upset when he left WWE. Was one of the guys I didn't mind watching. Also the way his hair blows in the wind during his entrance and they slow down the framerate a little.....loved that shit. It was like he dialed up a breeze from Jesus and the world slowed to show its respect. Went with Morrison. |

I wish when Y2J did the gift of Jericho bit that when he posed his hair would blow in the wind as he says "Drink it in maaaaaaaaaaaan". That little touch would make it so much better.

Wish I could find a video of the Morrison/Mysterio Intercontinental title match. One of the best matches on Smackdown that year
