KONG: Skull Island (2018)
I saw KONG: Skull Island earlier.
Pretty fun movie, lots of Giant Ape destroying things/Giant Ape fighting other Giant things moments. Cool cinematography and good soundtrack. Setting the movie in the 1970's worked really well imo. John Goodman/John C Reilly/Samuel Jackson/Tom "Loki" Hiddleston/Brie Larson all pretty good. If you see it - stay for after the credits... SPOILER: show |

So like...what a turd
Movie spends the first act, a solid 45 min, doing a slow build to the reveal of Kong. But in order to get some adrenaline the prologue does a kong reveal. So the entire 45 is a slow build to a reveal theyve already done. Cardboard characters. Actually there arent characters. Just arc types. If id been drunk and walked in on the 3rd act this would have been good. |

Just seen it. Thought it was good. Only thing is I thought Kong was going to give a nod to Mason and Conrad like the indigenous people did after he saved her and was walking away but he didn't. Thought it would be a good way to tie in to the indigenous people considering he was their God but other wise a damn good movie.
