Basically, this means maybe one more patch in a month with extra gay butt sex and 2 months from now DLC for 19.99 thats a couple of hours long but goddammit you know you're buying it because they've teased a story line you like.

Could have been one of the greatest stories on any medium but they fucked up ME3 (ending, dlc that was likely removed from the main game) and had so many in the industry come to their defense that all the goodwill they'd built up had vanished.
They didn't learn from their mistakes (rushed production, changed things at the last minute) and now you get this. A likely simply acceptable game with a slew of annoying but not game breaking issues. Now the franchise is on life support because they know putting another out there this close to the current climate means they can't even count on sales to make it a hit. Too bad. ME2 will always be an icon for me. |

I just know when I start this game it's gonna feel "meh" but I'll push through. Guessing I'll think it fine but nothing great to write home about.

Really annoyed about the hiatus shit for the series. I've been enjoying the hell out of Andromeda.

I just built a new gaming rig. I have played 5 or 6 games on it thus far, but nothing incredibly taxing. ME: Andromeda is the first real test I was going to put it through...and when I started earlier tonight I realized it was the right choice. I'm loving it so far. The combat seems much more tense. The setting so far is really cool and the atmosphere is SUPER tense. And the game, outside of some of the animation/lip sync bugs that aren't as big a deal as I thought they would be, is simply beautiful. With the settings I'm running it is by far the prettiest game I've ever seen. EVER. It makes my expenditure on this PC way more acceptable now lol. It also makes me wish Horizon was on PC

Feel like Horizon is gonna have a lil sale soon but I've been thinking that for 3 or 4 weeks now.
Also, Seph, pretty only goes so far. The first 10 or so hours of No Man's Sky were cool and pretty. The game is still pretty. But, well.....you know how this goes. |

Yeah, I still haven't played Horizon or Gravity Rush 2 which I really want to do, but for some reason, decided to play Final Fantasy X.

Just put Horizon on sale for 40 bucks already like MEA a couple of weeks ago. I can't justify paying full price this long after its release date.

Finally just about done with the endless fetch quests on the 5 colonizable planets. Have not chased the Archon's ship yet. I keep hearing the game starts out slow but picks up alot. God I hope that's true. By the time I was on Voeld and realized that not only did I have it but 2 planets after to do fetch quests on I considered dropping it and switching over to start Horizon. Stuck with it though. Still have a slew of tasks that aren't marked on the map but I'm ready to move on. Don't feel like searching all over a planet or looking at youtube vids to get a couple hundred xp here and there.
The other ME games had plenty of fetch quests but I don't remember them seeming so tedious as these. Maybe they were longer and had more story involved because these are all one offs for the most part. |

I will say the the combat is really really good. Makes up for the bugs still left and the occasional freeze on a loading screen.

Dialog choises very disappointing. No real differences other than the ones where it's obvious that it's a big decision. Do I say thanks in an honest or snarky way? Won't matter.

Horizon has fetch quests, but the combat is so good, and the world so detailed, that I never minded. A lot of times I didn't even fast travel to do them.

Same when I was playing Witcher 3. So great looking. Not that MEA isn't at times.

I realize that this is old hat for those of you that played at launch but I was such a fan of 1-3. Was everything I had ever wanted in vidya games at the time. Only games I immediately played through a 2nd time.

Yeah, Andromeda isn't a bad game, it just fails to match its legacy on a number of levels.
