Hulk kicked Surfer's ass in Planet Hulk, because IIRC Surfer was severely depowered at the time.

Taskmaster and Strange would be awesome.

You know this is kinda crazy, but I would like if Penance was in it. I know, I know, crappy character sure, but from a gameplay perspective? We all remember X-Men: CotA right? Wolverine had an actual regeneration move where he regained health bar? Penance should have the inherent ability that his damage output increases for all attacks the lower his health bar is. Depending on moveset, he could make for a very unique play strategy.

Starts as a weak character, but by the time he has 5% of his health left, he's overpowered. Just saying, it would make for interesting strategy...

Although, from a badass character for a fighting game standpoint, I'm thinking Hawkeye or Exiles Blink.

I can't see Kingpin as an interesting character in the game. He certainly isn't in the comics.

I was thinking The Hood would be nice, except based on a lot of what he's done in the comics, I think he'd more or less be a Deadpool clone, and I hate clones. I'd much rather just have 'Pool.

I always though Jamie Madrox would be cool to have in a game. Here's a character who could do all sorts of crazy things. Ranged grapples have always interested me. For every percentage of life he loses, duplicates pop off into the background, to be used in other moves. Like the ranged grapples. Or his super, "Gang Beatdown," where all the duplicates jump in.

Only powers hood has in common with deadpool are the pistols. Beyond that his powers are all mystical. Wouldn't be a clone at all tbh. But Dormammu is already in the game, so I don't think we'll see him.

• In the first prototype, MvC3 was more of a spiritual sequel to Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, but now the developers want it to be a true sequel to the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise.

• MvC3 was refereed to as a "Triple A, huge budget title," on par with Street Fighter 4 in terms of development costs, so Capcom very much expects this to be a highly successful game.

• Capcom would have to go back and renegotiate another contract with Marvel if they wanted to create an arcade release of MvC3 or other ports.

• Disney buying Marvel has had no impact so far on the development of the game.

• Marvel must approve everything Capcom does. From actual character actions, names of the moves, marketing and promotion and even if they hold live events, Marvel must give their OK.

• At this stage of development, everything is pretty much locked down as far as the characters and features they'll be able to put in the game, but it's possible in the future, they may be able to add in fan requests and other things via DLC, but the schedule is locked down for as far as launch stuff is concerned.

Glad to see Dormammu getting some recognition.

Underutilized villain imo. Especially considering that he can go one-on-one with Dr. Strange, or even the Defenders.

Also, still think Sentry makes the most sense for the last boss. He's got the power to be more than believable as the final fight, and he's relevant to current events. First round is against his Sentry form, second screen filling round is against the void.

Have they set the exact number of characters that are left to be revealed?
Will there be any more Street Fighter characters on the Capcom side or are they keeping that low?

I don't think a lot of shit in these games is mainstream. Even I don't know who half the capcom characters in 2 are, and that will probably be the case in this by the end.

Dormmamu is a major magic villain. Plus he had a lot to do with the Hood, who's been a major player since just before Civil War.

Dormmamu, despite being an awesome villain, is NOT mainstream. Yeah he gave the hood his power, but Parker Robbins was the one in the spotlight. Would have never predicted he would be in this.
