It's gonna be fucking hard to ever top this week in sports for me.
The Giants win the Super Bowl in simply amazing fashion...and now on Wednesday Johan Santana will be presented his Mets uniform. |

A few months ago when giving blood they were handing out free Pats shirts. I realized this past weekend that I still had it...and I wasn't sure what to do with it - burn it, use it as a doormat, wipe my ass with it, etc.
Instead, I kept it intact - and now that the game is over I grabbed a marker and wrote "18-1" on it in huge letters on the front and back and crossed out the Pats logo. I also attached a few images of a camera and wrote "CHOKERS" on it. I am at school now wearing the shirt along with my Giants cap. Did it just to get a rise out of my huge Pats fan friend...who totally woulda rubbed my face in it had the Pats won. Suffice to say it worked, along with pissing off all the other Pats fans here. The Giants fans love it tho. This is the first time one of my teams has won a title when I could understand what was going on (I was only 2 in 1990), I'm gonna live it up while I can. |

Man, I'll tell you what. Personally, the greatest superbowl ever for me. With everything behind it (Boston/NY, Perfect Season) it just was awesome. I was cusing up a storm and then I was on cloud 9. How ELI managed to scramble out of that Blilz I'll never know. It was a miracle. And then the catch. holy shit. It feels really good right now knowing New York stopped the perfect season. 18 and dead bitches

Vito - live it up, your earned it and ya never know if/when you'll get back.
LC - that play was amazing, Eli has put himself up with the top NFL qb's after this run. I hope Spagz doesn't leave, cause that defense was sick, and I would think after another good season next year he'll get a better job then washington. |

I guess I've recovered from watching the Pats crumble in the last minute of the game. Hell of a game for Eli and Giants D especially. Brady played well too, but the O-Line struggled terribly against the blitz. It's too bad that most people will remember this as the game that the Pats choked instead of the game that the Giants beat the heavy favorites.

Every O-line struggled in the playoffs against the Giants.
It would be funny if a story broke out about them being injected with "enhancers". |

Halfback Brandon Jacobs, whose running style is about as subtle as an Angus Young guitar riff, put it even more bluntly: "Most definitely, other teams gave the Patriots too much respect. Our attitude was, '(Expletive) them (expletives). We're gonna beat these (expletives).'"

There was one run where Jacobs pretty much just walked all over Bruschi. Pretty great.
Also, its nice to finally have another parade down the canyon of heroes. The last one was the 2000 Yankees. Now all thats needed is for the Yankees to get that next ring and this will be the greatest year ever. Tom Petty was pretty amazing too. Didn't seem too flashy or anything, just played some good songs. |

He plowed over Meriweather too, Meriweather has a history of that though dating back to college.....he also now has a history of dropping game ending interceptions in the 4th quarter

Eli looked great other than that one INT.. David Tyree OMG that scramble and catch..
Giants D looked awesome.. Proud of Eli.. p.s. I watched the game at my buddy's house who graduated from Ole Miss.. Right after the game I was like "I wonder what Jason White is doing right now?? Hotty Toddy!!" (Jason White was a shitty QB from OU with two bionic knees who won the Heisman over Eli) |

oh and everytime they showed Payton clutching his fists and marking out when ELI made a play, it made me mark out. he was feeling what all the Giants supporters were. it was great

THAT INT wasn't even ELI's fault though I think. Smith (I think that's who it was) just dropped it

When Eli did " The Scramble " and Tyree made " The Snag " and they show Peyton, pumping his fist and screaming, that was awesome.

Yeah, I'm just saying stat-wise it's Eli's INT.. Prolly more than 50% of int's are off tipped balls but still count against the QB reguardless..

I bet you finish 4th in the NFC East next season and Tony Romo will win Superbowl MVP
I'm not really that bothered about the Giants, it was two teams i'm not that fond of to be honest, but I like Eli and it was nice to see him win. And Plaxico had a pretty awesome season too so yeah. And I do admit it was pretty hilarious to see the Patriots go 18-1. |

Amazing game. I jumped out of myseat literally when he made that catch. Unreal. Buck and Aikman could have been more emotional though!! Al Michaels would have given that play a classic line to go with it. But whatever, never seen such a gutsy defensive performance.

Even as a former hater of NFL, i can appreciate that catch, and how great the match was. Btw love the 'we are the champions' song in this thread. lol, wondered wtf was going on for a sec! Although i hate how the commentators said 'world champions' its only american teams, duh!!!
