Yeah, I mean at least it's his knee and not something like his neck. But this does have a Daniel Bryan feel to it, where the company has invested a ton of time to get him over and now they can't capitalize on that investment because the talent keeps getting hurt.

Unlike those two, he already has hand-picked star status in the WWE and WWE rarely likes to take it away from their big stars. He's the #2 face on RAW and depending on Balor, he's either staying at #2 or becomes the top face for his return if the rumored Reigns heel turn happens. Worst case is probably something like Sheamus. Another hand-picked star who suffered a rash of injuries but still gets treated as a big star and still gets meaningful stuff and/or main event pushes. |

WWE was looking for something to point at and go "NOPE" with Sasha and Bryan. If they had been perfect they probably would have gotten in trouble for being too good.

This is seriously the answer for HHH for mania. It sucks that it has to be rushed but it could be fit perfectly into the current storyline.
Have HHH walking around backstage at NXT and Shinsuke randomly attacks him and beats the shit out of him. Shinsuke says something along the lines of "Seth says hello". Build it up with a final match between Shinsuke and Joe at an NXT show about a month before mania. Shinsuke goes over and proceeds to challenge HHH to a WM match since he got past his guard dog. Bam instant fill in for the HHH match and it furthers the Rollins/HHH feud for down the road. |

I'd save Nakamura till after Mania. If Rollins is hurt, then HHH should move on.
I don't think there's really a feud in place for him unless they decide to turn Joe against him. Which I'm not keen on, honestly. |

Nakamura should debut on the Raw after Mania. No need to rush him into a big program like that. Remember, not everyone watches NXT.
As far as the injury, I feel like a lot of wrestling super-fans (us) think that they know more about wrestling than they actually do, simply from having watched more of it than any human possibly should. Whether you're a Seth Rollins fan or a Samoa Joe fan, or whether the converse of either is true, you have to feel bad for the situation. Rollins and Triple H would have been a great match. Seth is probably completely crestfallen over this. And yes, it's all because shit happens. There's no need to try and pinpoint whose fault it is. It's entirely as inconsequential as it is an exercise in futility. All that said, I don't think that Triple H needs a new Wrestlemania program either. |

Lets have AJ go after Shane and a babyface turn for HHH to defend his brother-in-law. AJ over HHH at Mania.

Given the storyline they laid out on Monday with Hunter trying to avoid being an in ring talent and focus on NXT, I think it would be better to keep HHH off Mania because Seth was the one driving him to make this decision to fight again. In a lot of ways the injury is good for this angle, just hurts Mania a bit. |

Depending on how serious the injury is and how long it takes Seth to heal, we could possibly see Triple H/Rollins at SummerSlam instead.

They should just let Seth work Mania if it's 8 weeks. I get that they are all about wellness and all the b.s. now but if you protect him he'll be fine. As Bret Hart said, there's a way to work hurt.
He deserves the payday. |

Hopefully he'll be ready to go by 'Mania. I gotta disagree with Dale though. The dude doesn't need to be taking that big a risk when his knee was already surgically repaired once. Better to keep him off 'Mania and have him last longer than let him wrestle hurt and end up losing him early like they have so many others. Seth's too big of a talent to waste like that.

You could tell a story where Rollins rushes back and Hunter beats him. Then you let Rollins and Joe continue a program. Down the line, maybe SummerSlam you do the Rollins-HHH rematch.

If he's cleared to go I think I'd be ok with that. Have Triple H use a sledgehammer to bust up his knee when it becomes clear he can't beat Rollins.
Hell, have him do it in front off the ref and threaten to fire the official should he disqualify him. |

Can do the big payoff for the feud at Summerslam instead since the WWE already treats it as another Mania-like event of the year. |

I'd love it if Rollins came out Monday to announce he's done and out for more surgery, only for Joe and Triple H to come in and destroy him, complete with sledgehammer to the bad knee

The guy deserves the spot and the pay day. There's a way to work the match to protect him. I'd get it if it was concussion protocol etc. but if they strap his knee in properly and work the right kind of match IMO it's doable.
Obviously it's up to Seth. If he's not comfortable don't make him do it, but if wants to take the chance, I say he's earned it. For fuck sake Vince rolled out a half crippled Undertaker at 86-years-old to work the rumble. Give Seth the call esp if he's medically cleared. |

I'm not denything that. But I honestly believe there's a way to work the match that'd keep a medically cleared Rollins protected.

Angle did WrestleMania XIX with a broken neck. He got the job done and made it work. Hope it's something he can power through. This feud was supposed to do down last WM and then we got HHH/Reigns instead. If it can go through it should unless Nakamura is next in line.

This is the perfect opportunity for Jimmy Jacobs to book himself revenge squashing Samoa Joe and then destroying HHH at Wrestlemania.

The thing is, even if he can work through it, does it mean that he should if he's not close to 100%? A watered down, protective Seth Rollins isn't going to do him justice

This sucks for Seth, and could potentially suck for Joe, because they don't tend to kayfabe shit anymore. Joe putting Rollins on the shelf isn't going to be the story, but rather Rollins hurt his knee and it's really sad and Triple H will send him flowers and tweet out that it's a shame about WrestleMania.
Soft. This could be an angle that gets The Destroyer over. Seth's WrestleMania dreams are crushed. Joe should mine this shit for heat. Also, fuck Triple H. The story is that he's focused on creating now. He lured Seth in by saying he didn't have a creation that could stop him so he had to do it himself, only for Joe to be the secret weapon. It doesn't make sense for Triple H to fight Rollins now anyway. It's Joe's match. If Triple H puts himself in a WrestleMania match, I am going to vomit. Joe could be penciled in with basically anybody. Seth doesn't really have any allies on the roster. I guess Reigns, and Reigns fighting for him would be interesting if there wasn't already a Strowman/Taker program planned. I'd be fine with Taker sitting out Mania too and Joe/Reigns being the program. I'd also be fine with Sami Zayn taking up for Seth, respecting him after their clashes and realizing what a piece of shit Joe is. Balor returning for Joe also makes sense, but the problem is that we've seen all that shit in NXT -- but I don't think it will matter to casuals or even hardcores that eat anything involving indy guys up. |

I would be happy for Seth to make WrestleMania early and the knee to give him trouble only for Joe to destroy him building to a rematch.

BRET HART was right. Seth Rollins has been the part of more injuries in recent times than any other wrestler on the roster.
Seth needs to learn how to work safer, not just for his opponent but for himself |
