If Twitter is any indication, Sony picked the wrong game to end their event. People are leaving the conference en masse instead of sticking around to see how the Days Gone will be.

Sony just get it, this year more than any. Last year was bringing out the dream projects, this year they just let the games speak for themselves.

Was really short compared to the standard Sony press conference but wouldn't be surprised if they originally planned for Neo stuff to take up the missing time. Even the VR stuff was pretty short when everyone assumed it was going to be a big focus because of the PSVR's launch being in a few months.

Some Sony press conference news:
* While not shown during their conference, Sony recently released the E3 trailer for Gravity Rush 2. https://www.destructoid.com/why-the-...e-368278.phtml * New Spiderman game was confirmed to be PS4 exclusive according to the official Playstation Twitter account. https://twitter.com/PlayStation/stat...57188569235456 Some non-Sony related E3 news: * The Reditt source who teased about Red Dead Redemption 2's debut being revealed during Sony's press conference ended up getting revealed as a fraud. Was one of the people leaking E3 press conference stuff but later got outed by another leaker on Twitter as just copying everything he was tweeting for those Reddit leaks. Also just took recent rumors and Sony being the last conference as his/her chance to make the big "leak" announcement. * According to Geoff Keighley, a big reason why very little of Sony's actual E3 conference was leaked was due to them refusing to allow any early info to the media. Being rumored around the net Sony might have also gone after those leaking stuff from earlier press conferences prior to their own show. * While debuted as a PS4 game during Sony's event, Capcom announced Resident Evil 7 will also be arriving for the Xbox One and PC. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/res.../1100-6440838/ |

Nintendo debunked rumors of a playable female Link for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild although did reveal they had early plans for Princess Zelda to be a playable character.
Also teased it would have messed up the story in the game if they went in either route in the end. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/why.../1100-6440862/ |

I watched Sony, EA, and Ubisoft at my buddy's last night.
I don't know who's been putting together the press conferences for Sony the past few years. But once again, they knocked it out of the park. They pretty much got the formula figured out. 90% trailers/demos, 10% everything else. The 1-2 punch of God of War and the release date of The Last Guardian pretty much sealed it up. The bit of info they gave for their VR, and the Batman, Space game (don't remember the title), and Resident Evil coming out, I knew my reservation was a good decision. I can't wait. Insomniac handling the new Spider-Man game gives me hope it returns to it's roots. Hideo Kojima is just one weird motherfucker. That Death Stranding trailer really made me scratch my head and just say "da fuck was that?" But cool to see the Norman Reedus partnership still lives. Ubisoft.........on the other hand. While we watched the replay and just skipped through the boring stuff, 2 hours long and this is what I came up with: It wasn't a press conference. More like a pitch to everybody watching, the gaming industry in attendance, investors around the world. "We need your money.......now! Or Vivendi is going to take over." Between getting games from all ages from kids to adults crammed in, to promoting the new Assassins' Creed movie (and soon Watchdogs movie), and finish it off some ski/snowboarding game which I'm not really interested in, I think Ubisoft is really scared right now and are doing everything they can to stave off this takeover. Super excited for Ghost Recon: Wildlands, that looked awesome. Bit of a gut punch it's coming out in March. |

According to Gamespot's hands-on preview, Link pulls a Zelda II with how the game starts. Decided to take a nap for 100 years before waking up.
In regards to the game world's size, it is around 12 times larger than Twilight Princess in terms of scope and the stuff being shown at E3 is only around 1% of the entire map. Also confirmed there are no collectable hearts in the game and instead need to get food or scavenge around for items to refill the health bar. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/the.../1100-6440864/ Other reports from E3 hinted at there being over 100 shrines or mini-dungeons in the game in terms of possible side quest stuff. |

Rumor has it (and personally, I feel this is a BS lie) that the reveal was canceled at the last possible second out of respect for what had happened in Orlando, which makes no sense logic-wise IMHO. In what way do even the most violent games have anything to do with real life? All kinds of so-called experts have repeatedly failed to find any connection or correlation between those who play violent games who then go out and commit violent acts because the game(s) they played "inspired" them.

So let me get this straight Savior,
You're about 29/30 years old, you still play childish video games like Zelda, you still take part in e-Feds, and you still post regularly and frequently on internet forums. Your wife must think you're a champ eh? That is of course, assuming that you are still married. |

Oh, I stand corrected. My bad. Times have changed.
You are a 29/30 year old guy that still "games" like crazy, still posts very frequently on wrestling forums, and still earns less than 50K a year. You should thank your lucky stars that your wife hasn't left you yet. |

It's more childish to judge a game just because it has an E rating than it is to actually play one.
Than again, this is you, so I'm guessing you know this and are just giving him shit. |
