Part of me wants them to awaken the new Lich King, but it seemed pretty final that Bolvar was going to sit there undisturbed, but it is a new era of people harassing Blizzard so idk

It sucks
I myself am looking forward to it but the wife hated how gated and how big of a pain in the ass Draenor was is considering not bothering with Legion. Makes me a sad Panda |

The might as well just call this expansion World of Warcraft: Fan Service
surprised the Lich King isn't making a cameo as well |

I played the hell out of Draenor until my crappy guild stayed really crappy. Really loved the pug system for raids but still wanted to have a bond between the people I played with the most. I was 6/7 heroic in the first raid before my guild went 6/7 on normal mode .

No idea why people disliked the Garrisons either. Had super fun sending my people on missions and building them up.

I have conceded that in order for me to enjoy the game at this point it will only be with a couple people. Dont' ever see me doing the whole full raiding guild thing again.
Overall I enjoyed the expansion a lot too. Garrisons I didn't mind so much, but I don't like the precedent that it's isolating people more and more. For better or worse, I enjoy going into an area and seeing tons of other players rather than NPCs. World feels so empty sometimes. For that reason I'm really looking forward to the Class Halls (or w/e they're called) in Legion. Will be cool if some of the better players of your class are there and you can bounce questions and shit off them instead of just tabbing out and reading Icyveins etc |

I sold my account for $200.00 so I need to wait for the annual sale for the old games to happen before I get WoW again.

Ya. I basically made my main super awesome and then sold him a couple months after the expac hit. Couldn't sell it all prior to the expac when I tried.

Anyone playing the Alpha for Legion by any chance? Heard a lot of good things about it. This may be a ploy to bring the BC crowd back and I'm going to hear it out for at least a few months.

I'll sporadically check MMO-Champ for news and stuff but I don't wanna get too overhyped for it until closer to launch. WoD was fun at launch but garrisons and crap killed it for me

Bring the BC crowd back how?? WoW ended for me at WOTLK. Northrend was my final destination as everything that followed seemed super underwhelming. |

WotLK was really the end of any of the content I think they set out to do. Everything else has pretty much been a rehash of pre-existing crap.
I get it though. I mean. The game had 12 million active subscriptions. You don't just take that number and say, "Well guys, we did what we set out to do. Let's wrap 'er up!" No, you gotta keep churning out content for people. I don't fault them for Cata and beyond being relatively meh, I think they just got too big for their britches at that point and had an OHSHIT moment and had to scramble to make compelling content. Granted, the game itself hasn't drastically gotten worse or anything (MoP under-rated expansion) but lore-wise anything post-WotLK was just MEH so it makes it harder to invest in |

*NOTE: Dexter TV show spoiler below
Basically if I was to compare WoW to a TV show it would be Dexter. Incredible idea to kick things off and a new world that we were all really invested in, that got better and better and then after you kill Arthas that was the "Trinity killing Rita" moment and it's been kinda meh ever since |

Shit on the game all y'all want, I still remember all the goodness Warcraft has brought me. They can't be expected to put out perfection, but they have my respect to at least give their expansions a chance.

I remember once I was having trouble getting into Kara after I was attuned and called on a GM.
It was 2AM or something like that, so the GM decided to have fun. He turned me into a giant chicken and then "punted" me across the damn continent. My character looked like he was flying across all the zones really fast. Ended up on some island where GM's used to take people who were banned, about to be banned, etc. while they worked on the issue on their end. Have TONS of great mammaries with WoW, including a lovely group of people I played/raided with for a while. I'm sure if I had the time like I used to, I would still play. |

The one fantasy football league I am in that I actually care about is with a bunch of my old WoW guildmates. Great group of guys. Feel like they could be like a group of "old college buddies"... good comradery

That's your group, it'll never be replicated. Nothing will most likely ever top the amount of cohesion that early-WoW required and manifested. I'm just stubborn that maybe one of these expansions will bring that back for me someday. I assumed that everyone would settle down and be more into WoW, it turned out different. Don't blame anyone from a graphical stance, but damn I'll never forget BC/Wrath days. Glad I didn't take them for granted

I remember kicking a Pala healer out of the guild because they could NOT get the concept of moving away from the god damn fireballs at the 2nd boss of Zul Aman. We would wipe over and over. Gave him a week to read/brush up but he still kept fucking doing it.
A few people quit, saying it was BS that he was kicked, but when you are in a progression guild and you aren't progressing, you get rid of the problem. Brought on a new Pala healer and cleared the whole damn raid the next time we ran. What was your all time favorite raid that you actually participated in? Going for both location AND boss (they do NOT have to be related). I LOVED the whole feel of Karazhan from start to finish. The atmosphere, music, etc. I was also very fond of ZA when it opened. Could be incredibly challenging at times. Can't remember the dragon in Kara, but that is easily one of my more favorite fights. The one with the 3 different portals that certain players would have to absorb inbetween DPS'ing. The Lich King fight was fun too. Favorite raid of all time for me was Mount Hyjal I think. Just seemed so fast/chaotic with all the waves of enemies and then BOOM, boss outta nowhere!!!! Which one was the one where you had to protect the Tree of Life? That one was good too - been too long and I can't remember all the details of all the raids I did. |

Karazhan and Ulduar were the two best designed raids IMO
My favourite was probably MC simply because it was all such a new concept to me (even if the raid itself was very vanilla) and the concept of tackling these giant monsters with 39 other people was just sofa king cool and yeah. |

Never got to do 40 man raids with an actual group. Revisited them much later of course, and I could only imagine how epic it felt.
I remember watching chat go by and/or watching friends do the raids. Seemed like it took longer to get everyone together than the actual raid. That seemed hellish. |

Always loved the dudes in Northrend who would yell "I'LL EAT YOUR HEARRRRRTTT!" and then charged you.
Actually all of Northrend pretty much rules. If Northrend were real, I'd go live there. |

Cataclysm had some good parts, I know that expansion is what made a lot of people leave, but farming that rainbow ore was pretty soothing to me(Pyrite).
