Retracted on my pre-order. Always online games starting to get on my nerves. I'll get it at a price drop.

Ended up buying it. It was like $45 for the Gold version in Argentina so I thought fuck it.
Year 1 DLC plan had a lot to do with it: Quote:

PS4 here. If all goes well, I got a few buddies at work grabbing this so I got a few people to watch my ass as I go "shopping" in the dark zone.

Didn't take long before people found a really easy way to troll people in the game and its not due to any game-breaking issue. Only way to avoid the problem is to cause the game to glitch when it occurs.
As a possible reference, when Ubisoft compiled all the stats for the beta, it turned out the biggest threat in the game were members of your own team. Something around half of the deaths in the game were from teammates killing each other. Quote:
For those interested in the PC gold edition of the game, a couple of retailers have it on sale for $20 off. http://www.destructoid.com/the-divis...n-347049.phtml While plans could change in the future, at the moment Ubisoft states they have no plans to expand the game's microtransaction system to include non-cosmetic stuff. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/her.../1100-6435445/ Last edited by Emperor Smeat; 03-08-2016 at 06:22 PM. |

Only gripe I got so far is that by the looks of the map, we're only in lower Manhattan.
Really hoping over that that it expands north to cover the whole island. |

Not feeling it. Some of the jank with people blocking you off, appearing out of doors before vanishing, not being able to drop down off things at certain angles need to be fixed. Back to Stardew Valley and PVZGW2 in the meantime.

DZ seems to have been tweaked again. Big one is your actual campaign level determines difficulty, not DZ rank. And there have been even more mooks added, which seems to be helpful in combating the griefer asshats looking to shoot at anything running. Also, if you take the ability that I'm just going to call "the beer cooler" (it is that placable medstation) and toss it under the extraction rope, it cuts down the ability of random guy shooting you in the back and making off with your goods. And, once again, being heavier on the NPC spawning makes it less of an issue when you already have a potentially upleveled army swarming. Doesn't do good to piss off a potential friendly gun when you can be killed before you get a chance to steal things fair and square.
Got tricked by an "Agent" NPC, though. Seems to run around solo and can easily be mistaken for a non-rogue player, and deals fairly high damage (unless my gear was just still super shitty). |

If all goes well, I should be able to run around in the Dark Zone tonight. I did noticed they upped the starter level from the beta from 8 to 10.
Still waiting to get my M1A. Hopefully item refresh grants it to me today. |

Campaign:
"My back is all fucked up! I need some meds, bad!" has now outstripped "I used to be an adventurer like you..." and even "Another settlement needs your help." in the annoyance factor in just this small amoung of time the game has been out. This game has awesome scope, but the idle banter of NPC has a very, very small cycle from a very shallow pool. |

Everyone else I've unlocked at the safe houses at their locations I just wanna kill. The ex-actor, the chicken shit lady at the ops base, the creepy guy in the garment district. I hate them all. Hope someone cool is at Tenderloin, my next port of call tonight. |

The JTG soldiers are the fucking worst though. They'll repeat the same phrase 10 times in a matter of minutes.

Chatter going around is that Phoenix credits got nerfed hard. Only get a fraction of what you get when you take down bosses in the dark zone.
The 1% who rushed to 30 and got the best gear are gonna rule while the rest of us are gonna take forever to catch up. |

But at least they have some sort of personality, albeit bad ones. Even the guy that does the endless, inconsolable sobbing is less irritating than "My back is all fucked up...", and I think *he* is why you can't open fire in safe zones. |

Almost up to level 11 and played roughly 12 hours or so. Mainly been working on side missions, collectables and encounters. Gone through a couple of the medical missions as well and starting to unlock higher filters for the contaminated zones.
Is there an easy way of getting lock picks? Can they be crafted or collected anywhere? |

I seem to be getting them randomly from lootable boxes, and I don't even notice when I am.

Kinda deceptive calling this a new video game franchise with Tom Clancy's name on it.

Having a blast so far.
But you may lose a few friends in the dark zone. Friendships will indeed be tested unless you are careful. |

According to sales data, the game now owns the record for fastest selling new IP in regards to launch week sales. Made around $330 million since launch with two more days worth of sales not included in the overall amount.
