I can't come into this thread anymore. I click spoilers because I'm all caught up on episodes and something is spoiled for me further on in the books. Oh well. I like this show and I just started the 3rd book. The books are good but can become a chore to get through in certain sections.

To be honest I have already spoiled shitloads of stuff for the books and therefore potentially the TV series for myself, but oh well. Hasn't meant I've enjoyed the series any less.

Reading it and seeing the two showrunners deal with the ridiculous amount of story in the books is another. So far they've done a fantastic job putting everything on the screen.

Yeah, I don't necessarily think he 'knew' they would stay. I think he had to take the chance because Karstark forced his hand. Karstark had a chance to put his faith in the King and trust that when the time came, he would have his revenge where it mattered; on the battlefield. Instead, he just gave the Lannisters the upper hand by getting himself beheaded and Rob losing his army and lords. Karstark did exactly the opposite of what he intended, by being a hotheaded idiot.

Wow, that brief scene with Joffrey and Ros was brutal. Totally didn't expect it, and she's been such a pleasant addition to the show, such a nice person, a whore working her way up from nothing. She had Lord Baelish to protect her, and then as soon as he's done with her he moves on and she has nothing again.

Wow.. just seeing that and realizing who it was made my jaw drop. Made me hate that cunt of a boy even more.

Edit: Its been brought to my attention that I missed what really happened. Apparently Littlefinger found out that she had been a spy for Varys and sold her back to Joffrey. Wow.
