Fuck. Gotta admit, though, after seeing the difference in Halo Reach after installing it - I'm gonna install just about every game in my 'Box.

Feels like I should play a JRPG, but I have none. Except FF9, which I am missing the first disk to.

From 1UP:
With Electronic Arts' new NBA Jam receiving critical and commercial success, it now appears that they may be planning to revive another classic Midway over-the-top arcade sports franchise: NFL Blitz. Giant Bomb reports that a "trustworthy" tipster told them a new Blitz is in development at EA Tiburon, the same studio behind the Madden NFL series. Besides the fact the studio has tons of experience making football videogames, this would also make sense since Mark Turmell, one of the original creators behind the Blitz series, is currently employed there as a senior creative director. The game is reportedly very early in development, and likely won't be ready until 2012. While this is completely unconfirmed by EA (so far they've only given a "we don't comment on rumor or speculation" response), it's worth noting that it is at least possible -- EA didn't just pick up the NBA Jam license from Midway, but a few of their other defunct sports franchise licenses, including Blitz. Speaking of licenses, if it turns out EA is indeed making a new Blitz, then that likely means the series will once again be able to actually use the NFL license. Since EA has had exclusive rights to the NFL license for videogames since 2004, the last couple of Blitz games from Midway were forced to use generic teams and players. |

I actually love what they've done with Jam, so I'd love this.

I thought the NFL didn't want the brutal hits, taunts, or over-the-top action Blitz was known for which is why there hasn't been a Blitz in years.
NBA, NHL, and MLB didn't oppose the "Blitz" style in their arcade games which is why Midway was allowed a lot of freedom in making them. |

It might still just be Blitz, which I wouldn't be opposed to. NBA Jam needs real players, Blitz has dudes in helmets!

Yeah, it will be like the arcade Blitz, not The League.

I hate sports. I enjoy video game sports.
But arcade-style games. Not a fan of Madden or the NBA games but love Blitz and NBA Jam. Found a Blitz 2000 arcade unit at an arcade this summer. The joystick was broken but it was still awesome. |

NFL Street 2 >>> Blitz series
Fucking miss that gem. The series bombed after NFLS2. Street 3 sucked. Tour sucked. Madden Arcade sucked. |

To be fair, Go Karts don't usually have reverse gears and one forward gear and a typical reverse gear has the same range as a 1st gear. Reverse was probably added because if you spun a kart, it would stall and you'd be out.
Kinda hate them for having that in though, of you're trying to make it hyper real, make it fucking hyper-real. |

How is the NASCAR license handled? I know they've got a lot (or all?) of the cars but how many tracks do they have? And will there be a season mode? Or will be racing a generic oval track against 5 other NASCAR class cars all taking the same line in wonderful Gran Turismo fashion?
Not a NASCAR fan, just curious. |

I don't like the fact that they don't seem to have the Nascar Dodge Charger in the game even though they have they Ford, Chevy and Toyota.

Sony to unveil a new "Exclusive Playstation 3" game in a special event showcase the day after Spike's VGA show occurs.
So far its rumored to be Uncharted 3 (to be shown at the VGAs) or another game already announced in the past. Unlikely it will be a brand new title or series but the odds are the game gets leaked before the event since Sony is horrible at keeping secrets. http://kotaku.com/5694814/sony-has-e...ter-spike-vgas -------------------------------------- In related news, Sony set a embargo on all Grand Turismo 5 reviews until November 24 and even then no online servers are being set to help the reviewers. Also leaked was the game itself is around 19-21 GBs in disc size. |

Review embargos suck hard. It's usually a sign that a game is not at all up to par. It's Gran Turismo, so I expect the game will still be good, but if they're being gay about it, it's probably not gonna live up to the hype.
