Something like this shows me the potential of some of these undercard guys. There is real personality there.
It was when the constraints were lifted and guys were given more freedom character wise that the attitude era made things so watchable. I understand it's a massive company and they have to have some semblance of control...But let some of these guys get creative and just see what happens. The majority of them are not doing anything anyway |

Would be cool to do it documentary style and have them in character for like a Rise and Fall of Southpaw Regional Wrestling as a Network show.

This needs a network special so badly.
Also, KFC needs to bring Georgia Gold to the UK. |

What is the "Johnny Curtis" stuff everyone is talking about in this thread... Don't remember seeing that in the videos... when was it?

How come everyone is calling him "Johnny Curtis" instead of Fandango

I think he could/should be a megastar. So saying "Fandango should be the next John Cena" makes it sound (to some people at least) like his current gimmick is WrestleMania main event caliber. So I say "Johnny Curtis" when singing his praises so I don't have to make that silly distinction. That being said, I love him as Fandango, too. He's good at everything. |

Super likable. Not remotely awkward or uncomfortable on camera or in front of a crowd. Would make the company look like a million bucks on talk shows and stuff via his personality. And none of this is even getting into how amazing he was on the later season of NXT as "Creepy" Johnny Curtis. |

Whether you like the "Fandango" persona or you don't, just watch anything of him in character, especially the backstage stuff where he's allowed more freedom and you can see that he absolutely owns it to ridiculous levels. Most entertaining guy on the roster. |

This illustrates the canyon sized gap between what Vince and his team of "writers" think is funny and the talents awesome sense of humor

Jesus that whole thing was amazing. I lost it for "Impressive" Pelvis Wesley lol. The whole thing was great.including Lance Catamaran citing 6 weeks as an anchor for some random news channel lol.
I hope there's more. These are far too entertaining to cut it off. And got God sakes give him a buzzcut and bring back Johnny Curtis. |

Johnny Curtis was still miles ahead of the pack though. With the exception of Brodus Clay who actually showed a little personality too and went on to be pretty great for what he was. |

If the real Ric Flair worked in Southpaw (and he never would, because they can't afford him)...

£21.20 for the shirt. Might be the first wrestling shirt I've owned since I was 8. Which was a Nasty Boys shirt for some reason.

I finally got around to watching it and there really has to be more of this with maybe a match thrown in too.
When it comes to getting laughs out of me, Tex Ferguson was probably the best character with Lance Catamaran just behind him. The thought of Greg Valentine going to someone's trailer and putting them in an armbar for two and a half hours will always get me laughing. Overall, it was really good but I think maybe including at least one ridiculous wrestling match would make it so much better. |

I'm also really contemplating if I should buy the Southpaw Regional Wrestling T-Shirt or not.

It's a winner cos it's a wrestling shirt but people won't catch on that we're loser wrestling fans, they'll just think we're hipster types (which might be worse). |
