Dale Sables pops were big titty pops, could've been anyone that was really hot with big titties. Plus she was a bitch. But she didn't draw guys into the arena.

And the answer to the topic question I think is absolutely Vince McMahon followed closely by Triple H.

I'd go as far as to say that Triple H, both in front of the camera and behind it, is a big part of why wrestling cooled off. He put the block on lots of embers and he also sucked as a babyface in 2002 and doing his Ric Flair cosplay. |

Piper drew money; DX didn't. WWE revisionist history would tell you that he was a star. They have presented him like one even when there are no returns to it (1997-1999; 2002-). |

Funny you mention that. That is a bit more of revisionist history, just the other way.
Some people still refuse to believe that CM Punk got a bigger reaction that night than the umteenth reunion of DX, so much so that "blank OUTPOPPED DX!" has become some lower tier meme. It wasn't what WWE wanted, but it's what they got. Which still makes for another strike against HHH. |

I was being quite dramatic. They weren't giant ratings draws and weren't as significant as the company makes out. HHH disappears for quite a while in 1998 and no one misses him.
