Love that they have the correct Ricky Steamboat theme song. It's fucking amazing. He should use this when he shows up randomly on TV. Using it as my first theme in career.

Oh yeah, I get that. It's just last year was "creative has nothing for you" then skipped the month with one match while this has 9. I have no problem with the mode lasting longer, but they haven't got the content to back it up, so you just have random matches for no reason in certain periods, or a rivalry that will be stare down, ref bump, other ref bump and then brawl before the PPV for a 4 week rivalry.

NBA is long as well, but they let you skip to the next important match and sim the rest. This should have it.

EDIT: Going to go for the tag belts with Seth and see if it plays out differently.

This is just broken in places. So Mizdow attacked me during the build to Wrestlemania and locked us in a feud. Because this was the second week, it wouldn't happen until after WM so whatever. Hilariously bad Wrestlemania card too, but whatever, he's in a tag team, I'll take it.

Then the second week of April, I have a match against Sin Cara where I attack him before the match in a cutscene. Then I have another match with Sin Cara and I beat him down after the match in a cutscene. Then a match against Kalisto with Sin Cara in his corner and Kalisto in mine where Seth Rollins came out from the back to come out and celebrate with me despite being ringside the whole time. At Extreme Rules, we faced the Lucha Dragons. This was the blow off match to my rivalry with Damien Sandow.

Jesus.....I knew there was no way I was buying this game but now I'm even rethinking whether or not to bother asking for this game as a Christmas gift like I did last year. I'd feel bad for whoever got it for me because I could see myself giving up on it within 2 weeks.

No career mode on PS3, kinda glad reading Hasney's play-by-play. But I have enjoyed TERMINATING Universe mode.

I stole the moveset of a Greg Valentine CAW cause my backyard wrestler character mimmicked his moveset. Horrible choice for finishers with the new wheel of Submission Mini-game of shit. Lost my first high powered NXT match cause Prince Pretty wouldn't tap.

I mean the WCW version seemed like just a lyric-less version of the Nirvana cut. WCW had a better audio library in certain aspects cause of their ties to WB.

Think they only promised multiple versions of the same guy wouldn't count towards the 120 claim for the roster. Certain guys were going to have multiple versions anyways mostly because of the roster porting from 2k15 and Austin's career mode.

They sound similar but there are more than a few key differences.
They also reworked "Come as you are" for Ravens WCW theme although more than a few people including myself (and Raven) love that theme and feel it is his best entrance theme.

So, WTF? Did they lie to us about not being able to use custom music? Or was that just something they were saying was only not going to be in PS4 & XB1 versions?

Because I just got through creating my usual CAW, and much to my quite pleasant surprise, during CAE, in the Finalize menu under music, at the very top of the first page, I spied my old friend, "Custom Soundtrack", and just to be sure I wasn't seeing things, I selected it and got the old "If you want to give your wrestler custom music, make sure you have at least 1 playlist with a single song." (Paraphrasing, but I digress). Anyway, the point is, it's definitely in on 360 and I'm assuming PS3 version as well. Very cool.

Annoying that custom music will probably never be in for current gen because the respective companies are dead set on forcing people to download music to the systems through their official channels. Until they drop that stance custom themes won't be in as users won't have the option of ripping music.

They're gonna have to patch the heck out of this game.

Online you can't have custom arenas. You can't have more than 2 CAWS in a match or the game crashes. The secondary finisher doesn't work. There are issues with colors in the CAW section. A EXTREMELY limited clothing section for the Create a Diva section. The difficulty to importing a face. Lack of custom music. They even took away moves, in game music, clothing, and announced names. This is the BIGGER game you supposed have stuff added and/or modified not taken out.

I would imagine with custom arenas and CAW's in a single match would cause a ton of bitching about load times.


Importing a face has always sucked. CAW clothing options, for both, definitely suck/ feel more limited.

My guy still seems to have half of his face black from nothing. I had a mask on him at one point, but deleted it.

Oh, I forgot that I didn't say what my first Career Wrestlemania was like.

Only the tag titles were defended and the card was just bad. Viktor faced off against Enzo and the sub main event was Neville V Stardust. It was main evented by former 1 time NXT and US champion Hasney taking on Batista inside HIAC with no build. Wrestlemania went off the air with Hasney celebrating on the stage after picking up a W in a 3 star match for the ages.
