Daniel Bryan is so overrated. HBK is an all time great. But what it really comes down to is the fact that HBK hunts animals and eats meat while Bryan is a Nancy boy vegan. Lame.

HBK by a mile. Runs away with it in every category. And even if you give Bryan credit for who WWE tries to push nowadays, if there was no HBK, there would be no Daniel Bryan.

Gotta give it to HBK just due to longevity. Only way for Daniel Bryan to overcome HBK would be to also come out of retirement and have a another decade of top notch quality feuds/matches.

Voted for HBK but props to Daniel Bryan to have the career he has had without being a total douchenozzle.

HBK, not only the greatest in ring performer of all time, for me, but also one of the great storytellers. Matches like his comeback against HHH, the Flair Mania match and his own retirement match were so fueled with emotion. He knew how to tell a story and make it all seem so high stakes.
Just a personal opinion, but noone beats him as an overall performer for me. I have never came close to getting so much enjoyment out of one performer as I have out of HBK. Absolute legend. |

I don't think Bryan was a better wrestler than HBK, and he certainly wasn't better at promos, showmanship, etc. I probably would've picked HBK if he actually retired in 1998 over Bryan, I'd absolutely pick his 2002-2010 run over Bryan, put both of them together and it's gonna be very hard for anyone to beat.

Bischoff didnt want Bret he wanted the title. They were going to Alundra Blaze it on Nitro. So Bret works this monster contract. Bischoffs cock is hard and they sign the deal. Bret loves vince. So Bret goes to him and tells him about the pay dat and together they create this scenerio to keep Bret from gettinf sued and to protect the WWF. Ask yourself some key questions here: why did vince go to ring side? He could have called for the bell from the back. Why did he? To sell the fucking angle. To remove any doubt that the finish was a fuck job. Why? Hes a fucking commentator why would needlessly break kayfabe like that? The Wrestling with Shadows doc also gave it away. Back in the day when you gigged afterward theyd take sand paper and reallt rough your face up so when you went out on the town it would sell the angle. After the match Bret and Vince have it out...but behind closed doors...how convinient. Bret decks vince. He really did, the diff is vince and bret werent fighting they were selling the angle. Next night vince appears on tv with a shiner...why would he? That makes no sense. Unless you wanted Bischoff to see. Its the greatest work of all time, they'll never come clean on it. Its too good to spoil. 0% it was a shoot. Makes no sense to do it that way. Its all show. |

If it was a work, I wish Bret had the same acting ability in his promos. He's still crying like a bitch to this day.

Maybe if Bryan had a longer career he might've been better. But HBK was one of the best to ever do it in every category.

well I mean other than verification from many different sources.
I mean hey Vince and Bret can be working everyone, they're after all carnies. But it'd be one hell of a work. |

I think if it was a work, Vince and Bret would have had to have been the only ones who knew.
And if it was a shoot, it should have been a work because I'm pretty sure Bret would have agreed to it so there's no point in not working it. |

It would also explain why Hart's heart (lol) was never really in the stuff he did in WCW. Sure, they didn't use him very well, but he seemed a shadow of the guy WWF had. It's almost like he was happy to semi-retire on a massive guaranteed contract.
There is also the fact that even when telling "the truth", HBK's and Hart's accounts, as well as others, are never consistent. Probably kept a blur of misinformation on purpose. |

There will probably be another DVD about it in 4-5 years time too! Almost like it's a better financial decision to keep it vague.
Gotta say, Destor makes some really good points about Vince that I never considered before. |

How about that Daniel Bryan vs. HBK, though? What a match that would have been to see in real life!
